What a shock: Haynes King now a 3 star on Rivals and Darvon Hubbard, now that he looks like he's A&M-bound, is now a 3 star as well.

I'm not going to actually bump the thread, but this one really held up:

The thing is, if you are selected to play in an All-Star game, your rating shouldn't drop below 4 stars.

Also, if they're going to drop King to a 3-star based off of the Under Armor All American game, then they need to concurrently drop every offensive lineman on that team to 2-star or below, since he was running for his life on every play.

My God... The entirety of the aggie comments on this thread are about those mean bullies in Austin and that Burnt Orange Media Conspiracy that has apparently unfairly held A&M down for the past 80 years.

Honest question: what would any of these sites have to gain by boosting Texas every year over any other school that considers itself a college football power? I'm genuinely curious to see how you spin this to not sound like sour grapes.

Hell, even in years when A&M accomplishes something like this:

they still can't help but bitch and moan about what meanie Texas did on the recruiting trail that has absolutely nothing to do with A&M.

Also, if rankings are all bullshite, why put together that desperate graphic boasting rankings??

Thinking recruiting sites specifically boost Texas recruits because they're Texas recruits and then taking that to a shared board is peak aggie. Yikes.

See: Beck, Carson for his entire Senior season.

But yeah, I don't agree with dropping a kid substantially based on an all-star game no matter what. It's poor logic in general. Now, if they were having doubts already and the game just confirmed it, that's something else entirely.

From 5 star to 3 star in 2 months? That's an agenda.

Here's another clear agenda.

This player is rated as a 4-star by 247 and ESPN but a 3-star on Rivals:

Season Rushing - 201 carries for 2266 yards and 40 TD, 1 fumble (1 lost)
Season Receiving - 38 catches for 768 yards and 10 TD

Career Rushing - 407 carries for 4823 yards and 88 TD (2 fumbles)
Career Receiving - 96 catches for 2004 yards and 22 TD

Burch takes a lot of plays off.
He's been on TV twice now, and he'll make a nice play and disappear for three.

Yet he received a A+ grade at the all-star game. Clowney took alot of plays off and still had the opponents OC changing their game plan just to deal with him.
I do hope Burch is ready to work hard when he comes here.

I agree with you, I just believe that's why he dropped. If it's obvious to me that he spends a lot of time standing around, the scouts certainly see it.
