Couldn't he have already given a verbal commitment and still gone on all of his visits?

Probably isn't a very firm word. If he was that sure wouldn't he already be recruiting that way, even if a silent commit.
But he's an AU lock, right?

Did I say he was committed? No. Which means he hasn't given a firm word. Obviously he could pick Bama. I'm just saying that pretty much everything is pointing towards Auburn.

So, he already knows whats down the line.
Bama Lock

I get most of what you are saying, but come on. Calling a kid a legacy when his father attended three semesters total at Auburn is a little bit of a stretch don't you think?
I guess officially calling him a "legacy" is a stretch. But he still lives in Auburn and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a quote saying he loves Auburn (the school). The only reason he transferred was because Bo Jackson was sitting in front of him.

While I'd love to see him choose Bama (and think there's a small chance that he might), if I were a betting man I'd say Auburn...
I wonder what the percentages are of recruits choosing the school of their last OV...I'm guessing it would be pretty high...

Gus seems to be a little nervous in regards to Evans' interest in Alabama. This is what his father said 4 days ago:
quote:
Did they come to your house or did you go over to the athletic complex?
“We went over there. We went to visit them. Gus said he wants the last visit.”
So Gus still has a in-home visit left with you?
“Yea, he’s saving that one. He said he wants to make sure he’s behind Saban when he comes. He wants to make sure he gets the last visit."

Well the whole point of them going to the athletic complex was that Malzahn would be the last visit...

You mean Gus wants to be behind Saban who's an excellent recruiter?! Shocker!! You're right Bama lock! What was I ever thinking?
That's not news to me. That was when the Evans family went to visit the athletic complex that I mentioned earlier.

I understand that. I'm just saying that Malzahn must view Alabama as a real threat if he feels the need to see Evans after Saban's in-home.

Wut? When have I ever said that? Saying Gus is nervous is not saying Evans is going to Alabama.
Sweet melt though.

Saban already used his in-home?

I agree. I mean this kid is from Auburn and is an Auburn legacy. No need for yall to be so nervous.

Strange. You'd think he'd wait until after his OV to Auburn.

Look, I think most of us Alabama fans have assumed Evans would be attending Auburn throughout the majority of this process, some just like to see y'all squirm a little bit more than others.
I will say if Evans does decide to go to Alabama I wouldn't be shocked. Surprised? Yes. Shocked? No.
