OU fans making up NIL numbers as a way to cope with possibly losing a recruit to Mizzou, oh how the mighty have fallen. Y’all act like OU is some dream school that all kids want to play for and the only reason anyone would ever choose another school is $$$. OU is basically Nebraska, it’s a boring has-been school with an annoying delusional fanbase

I mean objectively as a third party I would much rather play at OU than Mizzou

Reports from multiple different team writers are saying Mizzou offered a very significant NIL package.

I get you want to believe people just want to go to Mizzou to be Tigers, and some players do, but if you get this guy and hes the kind of player he is supposed to be who cares if its about the money?

FWIW our side is saying we offered him our largest NIL offer we will provide to a HS recruit (somewhere in the 6 figure range) but Mizzou cleared our offer and then some, in much the same way they did with Burden last year. It’s not illegal so why be ashamed of it?

In this day and age the only thing unique that the paperclips can offer him are history and red dirt. Other than that, advantage Missouri.

We don’t pay huge for NIL usually … we use a team wide deal wheee everyone gets the 50 to 60 k minus what you can make on your own deals. With tear last group of guys that is going out the window I believe so money isn’t going to be the determining factor …

I retired VERY early. When you work hard and invest wisely you can do that.

Imagine being so insecure that you have to down vote a post for saying if you work hard and invest wisely you can retire early. Sounds like someone has not been working hard or investing wisely.

That's sort of covered by the "history" thingy I mentioned.

Our Rivals guy said on Twitter that he is thinking about a futurecast. If he really is close that is not good news for OU. He doesn't put in FC's unless he is PRETTY damn close to 100% on it.

How many draft picks has Mizzou had in the past 20 years? 1/5th of what OU has.

Ummm, wouldn't there be some correlation with the fact that you had better talent coming in. i.e. a lot more 5 and 4 stars to start with?

Mizzou has developed a decent amount of 3-Stars into draft picks over the years so there should be little concern a 5-star wouldn't do well in our system.

Literally just 4 months ago we had a DE who came in as a low-rated 3-star get drafted in the 4th round.

What sources would that be? I have not seen those.

Seems to point to Mizzou.

There is no source for anything except people saying "I have sources" so what does it matter?

This is what I really goddamn wonder about the whole deal.
