He has 6 guys from his high school playing for Mizzou right now.
I don't think the teammate thing is the big bonus Land Thieves fans think it is.

William Nwareni is going to the highest bidder.

Probably need to spend our NIL dollars elsewhere. If there is one area we have recruited incredibly well the last several years, it is the D Line.
That and he may just have zero interest in playing in
College Station.

The highest bidder of his top 4. TennRC was out until he decided the NIL was more of a deciding factor. Now back in…UGA out - they aren’t giving more to a HS player than current producing stars on the team.

Feels like DJ Hicks all over again I just hope this time even though his parents are deciding that OU is bringing the funds his way …. I know they don’t like to operate like this which scares me . Money is a powerful thing but so are relationships and a good vision for player . Still like OU.

I mean, to an extent you are right...but if two schools are similar in money, then he might take a slightly lower amount to go to a school that he feels more comfortable at.
Just for arguments sake....
If he is very close to Oklahoma's staff and would prefer to leave Missouri, and Okalhoma offered $750,000 and Missouri offered $1,000,000 he might very well go to Oklahoma and take a lesser amount. $250,000 is a lot of money, but in the grand scheme of things not THAT much more.
Once the money is in the same ballpark he might choose a different school. The scenario could play out the opposite if momma wants him to stay home. They might take less money to keep him closer.
It does seem as if money will play a major role, but rarely is it the only role.

In this recruitment, it’s a bidding war. UGA tapped out - they will only go so far in NIL.
- thought they had KJ Bolden and then FSU (who already was offering much more than UGA) went over the top at 12 noon and it was over.
I don’t really think Nwareni wants to go to Mizzou and preferred UGA and OU - OU willing to go higher than UGA on the NIL but probably not as high as Mizzou who is willing to go “it takes what it takes”.
Wouldn’t be surprised if OU has the opportunity to match Mizzou’s last offer. Believe OU probably would do it.
Lot of speculation but that’s my take on it.

Yes, but it wasn't because we were close NIL wise. It was because the schools went significantly higher than we were willing to go.

That was my point, though. It was much higher and then when Auburn made it closer, FSU went significantly higher. But FSU was stated to be his dream school....

I agree. It will definitely be interesting.

Does Athens Steve know anything?
I’m super high after taking an edible but see him tweeting that he is a Mizzou lock everywhere.

Look for an A&M comeback since everyone is broke lol.
Btw guys, you guys don’t need to negative spill what you think is going on just bc Mizzou leads.

this is the job description for everyone running a recruiting site

Please tell me what objectively favors OU other than the size of the bag with regards to the program today?
New coach
New conference
Lack of team success
Lack of defensive success
If Venables has another poor season, how stable is his tenure? I doubt there would be a lot of booster patience.
-His good friend and former teammate Cayden Green is on scholarship at OU as a freshman.
-His good friend Adepoju Adebawore is on scholarship at OU as a freshman.
-His DL teammate and good friend Kamori Moore (class of 25') committed to OU a few weeks ago.
-His teammate and good friend Isaiah Mozee (class of '25) is going to commit to OU soon.
-His HC (and handler) is a former Sooner who played at OU.
-His best relationships, according to him, are with Todd Bates and Miguel Chavis.
-Venables and Bates have a track record far superior to anybody on Mizzou's entire staff. And no, it doesn't matter to recruits that the track record was at Clemson. That's not a thing.
-Drinkwitz is going into his 4th season and has yet to break the .500 mark as a HC. He won't this year either.
-There's zero chance Venables is going to have another bad season this year. Our history says so, and our re-vamped and rebuilt roster talent says so.
Now tell me what advantages Mizzou has other than desperately backing up the brinx truck (as if one 5* recruit is going to alter the trajectory of their program

I'll wait...

Doesn't he also have a ton of teammates at Mizzou?

I believe he means what favors OU over UGA. Other than friends, proximity to home, and a bigger NIL bag - the answer is “nothing”

Access to electricity, paved roads, dental care, internet access, and multiple pro teams including the defending Super Bowl champions they can watch up close and in person, and of course other things they can do during their spare time.
