Perhaps.
But Buggs appears Auburn bound at the moment.
Who knows with Wilson? The last CB for him was for Texas put in by the Texas mod. Mike Farrell thinks he signs with Alabama.
Shelvin has got to get his weight down or he is going to eat himself out of any chance of being a difference maker. He weighed 376 pounds at the Opening and it wasn't good weight.

Good get for you guys. He's a pretty solid player. Did well at Bama's first camp. I like his film. He has had a bit of a leg problem that hopefully won't cause him any problems in college. He should get good cosching from O.

No?
Who did Buggs visit this past week, LSU or Auburn?

TideSaint...gotta remember that name so I can remember you're a cool dude. Thanks for the info. Hmmm...I'd be more confident if he were a 5 star every team in the country wanted, but hopefully coach O is seeing something right here that the recruiters are seeing wrong. (This is what it feels like to be a Mississippi State or South Carolina fan, I take it. Nope...don't like the feeling at all.)

I love pick ups like this one, and Seth Stewart.
I have been following LSU recruiting for about 10 years now, and when you follow closely enough, commitments are usually either leaked a bit early, as in the case with Kary Vincent Jr, or at least known to be on our board and well publicized. When guys who aren't really on the radar or readily discussed by our insiders commit out of nowhere, it's even more fun.
As a recruitnik novice, I used to mistakingly gaze at the number of stars behind a players name, but as most vets would tell you, one of the most important attributes of a successful recruit is more about the tape, camp performances, and how heavily a recruit is pursued/offered by other football powerhouses.
This is the first recruit from the state of Alabama that had an uncontested commitable offer from Bama that we won since the evil imp's Genesis with the gumps(Kwon Alexander, though a miss by their staff, was still agreed by most to not have had a commitable offer toward the end of their cycle).
Farrell is a huge get as a pure DE in Arandas 3-4, right out of Mobile, being heavily pursued by virtually every elite football program.
It's about time that we made progress by attacking them and winning on their home turf.
Kudos to Orgeron and Craig on this one. Games are won in the trenches and at the QB position, and thus far Orgeron and company have not only made strides in catching up to the imp's DL recruiting, but are passing them up for this cycle. If we continue on course, I guarantee, we will begin to at least go .500 against our rival, and then pass them by.
Their big board has Wilson, Shelvin, Buggs, and Farrell all as top targets, and we will very possibly pull off the sweep and, if not, almost surely 3 of the 4.
Again, to those who pay close attention and know their craft, these unheralded offseason moves are what set up winning games down the road, and as this staff is going, we will again be right on TOP back where we BELONG.

So that means he's going there right? Because of one visit? Unless you've got something more concrete to back that claim up with, don't give an uninformed opinion.

Buggs is going to LSU. LSU is putting everything into Wilson as well.

Umm. Wut? Where has anybody said that he had an "uncontested commitable offer"? That's not to say that you guys aren't capable of landing someone that we really want in the state of AL, but who among either fanbase or mod has said that he could commit to Bama?

No idea. I don't really recognize the name Murphy. I know Vigor, St. Paul's, etc.
Murphy is McGill-Toolen rival. They're mobile metro school for kids near dauphin street and government street. Davidson is the other side. Solomon Patton went to Murphy.

Anyone know what kind of completion their school plays?
7A Alabama HS. District with McGill-Toolen, Foley, Fairhope, Davidson.
Other big Mobile/Baldwin county schools like St. Paul's and Vigor are 5A. Vigor technically being Prichard, AL. Spanish Fort is 6A now.

Alabama hasn't fared well with Murphy kids lately.

Correct; also Murphy is an IB World school, as are Daphne and Fairhope so it's a good school and most of the kids are not dummies so chances are he's pretty smart for an athlete.
