MUBobby is saying that the parents favor Mizzou by a wide margin and that their input with have a big impact.
The "inside" sources at hogville are saying that DGB did in fact silently commit to Arkansas.

I agree. We have needs. Gibson and Brantley will help fill them.

Ha. Im half expecting DGB to pull out a Boise State hat... Just to see the world go nuts.

Everything is speculation and the media has done a great job of hyping this issue. Nobody is celebrating quite yet.
Mizzou has already gotten more media love since the SEC announcement than we ever did before. So glad to be rid of the bevo conference...

Simon Goines excpected to announce in the next couple hours. I'm guessing UCLA but sounds like his mom wants him at Mizzou.

Do you think Mizzou has alienated their other recruits by going so over the top with DGB. I mean helicopters, luxury rv's, weekend with him as the only recruit. I understand he would be a huge get, but he's only one player. Is it worth making all of your other recruits feel like second class citizens?

No, some of these tactics like the helicopter have been used before. The recruits get it. There were 3 or 4 commited guys in Columbia this weekend on their own dime. All the "hoopla" was in the face of Gibson and Brantley this weekend, they commited. Goines had been wavering on his commiment for awhile.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one to see DGB's tweet a few minutes ago. I checked his @mentions. The last 100-150 were ALL from hog fans. The last mizzou mention wasn't even directed at DGB.

Why the hell would Goines choose UCLA over Mizzou? Doesn't make sense. I would argue that Mizzou has a far better football program. UCLA simply has a killer location.
