LSU Fans tell me about Derek Turner

He is a DB from St. Francisville,LA. Named AU his leader. Has anyone seen the kid play or know anything about him? Thanks in advance.

Not an LSU fan but my opinion is he's got a lot of raw tools but will need to be developed at next level. Really fast kid with good size. Plays QB for his team but they pretty much just run the option so he's more RB than QB. Apparently he had a really good camp at AU recently. Tigers want him as a CB

I can honestly say never heard of kid in any LSU talk. Doesn't mean he not any good.

I think he was hoping you would say he is a stud because we Auburn fans are worried that a majority of our recruits this year will be low 3*s. ??

I've never heard of him either. Doesn't mean he isn't good though. Only the elite dbs in our area get mentioned bc of our dB recruiting is sick. There's alot of talent in la too, so alot of kids are really good but get overshadowed by other bigtime prospects that everyone knows about. For instance, this kid is prob really good considering auburn offered him and I'm sure his offer list is nice, or will be soon, but he's from the same area as lsu commit kelvin joseph who's one of the best corners in the country.

Never heard of him...but this stage in the game, no one had ever heard of Mo Claiborne or Tredavious White either (both 1st round CBs)

Derek Turner is a 5'10" 182lb CB from St. Francisville. He plays at West Feliciana High. He has offers from Auburn, Arkansas State, Army, Tulane, Ole Miss and Louisiana Tech. He's rated the #78 CB in the country.
I knew all of this information because I had to google him. I haven't heard of him before. Sorry if that make me salty but we currently have 5* Kelvin Joseph committed, we lead for 5* #1 CB in the country Pat Surtain and we're one of the 3 finalist for 5* Anthony cook. Sorry, not sorry.

I agree on Mo but Tre was a very highly ranked recruit.

Kelvin Joseph is probably why no one has heard of this guy. He is probably a project that your coaches think will develop into a nice DB. No one is salty lol he's just not that big of a prospect. He's fast though and you can't coach fast. This area is known for great athletes and good football competition for what's it's worth. Full of under the radar guys in this area.
