Hamilton is from Texas. Plus Fournette's highlights clearly show his huge potential. On top of that he plays against some of the best competition in the country. New Orleans is a hotbed for talented players and teams. Many he's faced against. It's not like he's playing against the shitty competition Yulee HS gets to go against.

Had Bama not signed so many RB's last 2 years and already one next year they may have had a shot.

Alvin Kamara wasn't scare. The great ones don't shy away from competition.

But I will agree that if LF is not completely sure he's the best, he should choose a school where he'll start without supreme effort and ability.

Apparently Bama has given an offer of some sort to teammate Jermaine Roberts. He said he was offered, but they want him to come down for a camp.

Supposedly Sims offer is non-commitable as well. Why would the greatest human to grace us with his presence need to give out fake offers to try and sway other Monroe kids?

maybe Saban likes him as a prospect on his own

Then why is the offer supposedly, per your more relevant poster, non-commitable? Other than to help sway others? I don't blame him, just noting the truth to the situation.

It's an interesting (sort of) offer. Roberts is nowhere near as big as the normal CBs that Saban recruits. He's a smaller guy, and while he can be very effective, it would be quite a departure from the normal physical traits Saban looks for in a CB.

I don't doubt there is some sort of level ulterior motive in regards to Fournette(they've offered a OL as well on St. Aug), but it could also have to do with him being referred to him by Crutch and Robbie Green(apparently trains with him). I think Saban sorta has a "sweet tooth" for Louisiana prospects, where he'll lower his standards looking at lesser tiered recruits. I think that too is an ulterior motive, looking at the big picture(potential pipelines).

His preference for 6-1 CBs is a pipe dream, but most are at least 6 flat or close to it. 5-9 is pretty small, but apparently Roberts has some good ball skills. I just hope Saban isn't recruiting specific players for subpackages. I think if you can't project them as a base starter in HS, you're better off using that scholarship elsewhere.

Of course this is speculation on my part...

According to LSU fans he was.

We stacked at RB anyway. I love all these pages of insecurity though.

it's nice to know you hold everything LSU fans say in such high regard.

Let's not pretend bama fans are 100% onpredicting where kids are gonna go.

I never said I cared one way or the other. It's mostly been a ton if Lsu fans vs. Buc.
