With Hootie all but conceded to the evil empire, I see Les has set his sights on Adams.

I think any sensible recruitnik would say this one comes down to either Ole Miss or LSU (as is usually the case with more elite talent).

Have you guys been recruting him for a while now or is this late surge simply in response to being spurned by Hootie?

Like my boy Hugh says, recruiting is all about relationships. Will Les be able to build one strong enough to snatch Jamal at the midnight hour?

I think UF being a mess has more to do with our recent surge with him than anything. Paris is recruiting him for us, but beyond that I don't know many facts about him.

Dude. You've literally called every recruit in the known universe to FSU in recent weeks, and been wrong every time.

I think we sign Jamal Adams regardless of what Hootie does.

The kid seems to like the DBU mystique and he's tight with Ed Paris and Tony Brown. Ed Paris will probably make it his full time job to bring Adams to Baton Rouge. I know they are going together to the arky game Friday.

I personally like Adams for our system. A lot of people had Hootie at OLB in our system, which is kind of silly, but he's not far off from being 220

I would say they are not comparable also. Hootie is more of a hitter where Adams is more if a cover guy.

Adams is a compact little freak man he will put a lick on somebody.

I remember watching videos from the Dallas Nike camp and Adams is extremely mean and physical on the field

I'd say we are definitely late in the game. If he visits for Arkansas unofficially and then comes back for an official shortly after, I'd say it shows he would be really interested. Also having two fellow Texas DBs in the same class with him which he is friends with could be enticing.

Until he visits, it would seem as we're on the outside looking in IMO.

Considering Ed Paris is bringing him to LSU this weekend for the Arky Game and partying then we get his last official visit before he picks a school I think we have a pretty good shot.

Adams says he wants a shot to play right away as a freshman and the safety spot as LSU is his for the taking if he wants it.

He'd likely start as a freshman at A&M.
