Sorry you didn't get a commitment from those 1 on 1's. Bet if he goes to Bama, Ole Miss or Arky you will sound like an Aggie fan. Why don't you warm up these excuse:
1) He was a grade risk.
2) We had a better option at LB.
Or you can try the tired but typical LSU refrain of "he lacked a chest & didn't want to compete".

Did you say you want to bet if he goes to one of those other schools?

Well, according to Devin as of 3/23/15, he's being recruited at LSU as an RB and RB only.

"I've been thinking and doing research. I looked at the draft last year and saw how many linebackers were taken in the first round and how many running backs were taken in the first round - which was none. And there were some good running backs out there. I think linebacker would be the best fit for me and my family and make it easier on myself. I'll work even harder to be a great linebacker."
I think he's already made up his mind piglets.

Well this is awkward.
It's only awkward for the guy that apparently can't read a calendar. His RB comments came after the LB comments.
Although, what position he wants to play changes on a seemingly daily basis anyway, so I would take both comments with a grain of salt.

That's why I said "Well" as in he seems to be a bit undecided as to what position he wants to play in college. He's made the LB comments as you posted as well saying this past weekend that he felt he wanted to play RB. He's a kid. I'm sure he's simply unsure and is smart to do some research and figure out what he wants to do.
My guess is that he feels financially LB could pay off more down the road, but he's more passionate and loves playing RB.
ETA - Add you're quoting something that I didn't say so if you are questioning someone, comment to them. I said earlier in the thread "He seems to be flip flopping in his stance as to what position he wants to play. LSU has only recruited him at RB thus far I think. We need LBs badly in this class so I hope he could end up at LSU as an LB when all is said and done. RB is a position this year where we could really get away with not taking one. If he wanted to play RB at LSU though he'd certainly be welcomed and will be recruited hard. Sounds like he first needs to figure out what position he wants to play in college "

I know it's been mentioned earlier in the thread as well but it definitely seems that he might be telling reporters what they want to hear.

He only does that to reporters from schools other than LSU.

After spending Saturday watching LSU’s scrimmage and meeting with a handful of different staff members (Les Miles, included), White said the highlight of his stay came when he got to sit down in Wilson’s running backs meeting room and go over film as if he were on the team now.
quote:
“All we talked about was running back,” White said. “And I really, really liked that. I got to sit down with Coach Frank and listen to everything he had to say, and we watched film and all that. It was the perfect visit to find out more than I knew before.”
He wants to be a RB, LSU is recruiting him as a RB

Do you have a reading comprehension issue because no where in my post did I say anything about a "bet"?

He wants to be a RB
Until he tells a reporter he wants to be a LB
Then it'll be back to RB
Then back to LB

Every time Ive seen these refrains used its in a joking manner like without a doubt every time? If you havent picked up on that where have you been?

White will string everyone along for as long as he can. Anyone believing what he's saying or reading anything into what he's doing at this point is wasting their time.

The urban myth of the existence of a reasonable & realistic LSU fan is proven true! Obviously most could not read the sarcasm dripping from my previous posts. Good post & on the mark Roger.
