Least number of head-to-head Alabama/Auburn battles I can remember

And the ones that are ongoing are really 3-4 team races where one of the two appears to be on the outside looking in (Brown, Wilson, Davis).

I haven't thought about that, but you're right. Strangely enough, there's only one for State and Ole Miss this year, honestly.

We really haven't had that many all year. Marlon Davidson I guess, but with his family connections to Auburn that was always going to be a tough pull. Probably has a lot to do with having a down year in state with 2 of the top 3 guys having big time connections to one school or the other.

I wouldn't even consider Wilson as one. We aren't in that race and haven't been for months.
Oh and I've heard y'all are going after Coe. Don't know how true that is though.

Yea, that is one.
So our only head-to-head battle the last 3 months of recruiting is going to be for a 3-star defensive end from Western North Carolina?

Meh. Different schemes and Bama is recruiting at a different level that Auburn at the moment.

We did want Payne. Don't let anybody tell you differently. But no signing day drama as he committed the month before.
