That is actually a myth. There was a study done on this and it's the third recruiting class after the NC that is the best. That's why Bama is killing it this year. It's Auburns turn NEXT year.

Somebody gave an opinion that this is the best Bama class ever and would go 3-1 against LSU. Somebody else posted that Bama has been recruiting like this since 2008.
I posted that class's record against LSU, with the point being that a recruiting class ranking only gives a general idea of team talent. The ultimate results are shown on the field.

I know that, but we're at least a lock for the 2013 game. We're gonna be stacked that year.

I posted that in response to an Auburn fan who made it seem like Bama is just recruiting well this year because of our NC a few years ago i.e. NC recruiting bump. That, of course, is completely false. We've been recruiting well since '08.

I still like our class better than Alabama's. It's not like Collins was a position of need. I put on the other board that we'll have someone just as good, if not better playing safety for us. That's what's great about being the best team in the conference.

Bingo on both accounts. Since 08 the combined score of the games is 81-69 with two decided in OT. Each team is 2-2.

Hasn't Bama had the better classes over the last few years according to the experts? Bama loses the next two of three. If LC is as good as advertised, he is only staying for 3 years..Enjoy him. I really thought he would be a great addition, but if he doesn't want to play for this year's and next year's national champs, roll on out of the boot!
