I dont know that they were doing stars when he came out. I imagine he would have been one easily though. Prob top 5 player in the nation.

Benton was a 5* in high school, but a 4* out of JUCO.

Same shite I remember. Then Benton unceremoniously switches to Auburn early in the day and Randle comes to LSU. There was clearly some agreement reached behind closed doors that I won't be privy to.
Bastrop HC seemed pretty pissy about the whole thing as well.
