Any program relying on Deuce to start next year has a problem. He will likely never produce at the P4 level.

I’m not saying Jackson Arnold is a phenom or anything but he was 21 years old this season and beat out Dillon Gabriel to start for an SEC school as a frosh. Ashton Daniels played wildcat QB at Stanford as a freshman and was named the starter his sophomore year. A true freshmen getting beat out by them isn’t surprising in the least to me. Deuce had offers from Alabama, Indiana, Miami, Georgia and Notre Dame out of high school. I’m going to trust those offensive staff’s opinion over yours. Every level headed person on this Earth is going to do the same.

No one said he doesn't have potential. There is a reason he was passed on this season and asked to backup next year. He has major maturity issues and if he doesn't get that under control, he won't play QB at this level.

His leader was Hugh Freeze. That could have just as easily been a problem with a players maturation.

I could see that for sure. Quick question, are many players getting 2 year contracts? It would seem that would be the way to go with Duece.
