PF transfer from Virginia Tech, probably the most high-profile grad transfer on the market

Averaged 14.9 and 7.5 last season for VT

Texas A&M, Florida, and Kentucky have all been linked so far. A bunch of buzz on the VT board that Florida could be the early favorite because Blackshear is from Orlando and he'd be the missing piece to a contender, but he played for Buzz, obviously, and Kentucky is hard to beat

Seems like he would just be following Buzz, no?

He has one year of eligibility remaining so it'd be hard to see him wasting that on a rebuilding season

Florida is a preseason Top 10 team with Blackshear, and Kentucky is Kentucky

Maybe he's following Buzz, it's a possibility, but I wouldn't think it's the most likely scenario

I’m not sure how much rebuilding is going to happen. I could see Buzz, especially w Blackshear, making the tourney next year.

UK has made contact and UK insiders say their is mutual interest between the two. Would love to get him as he’s what we’re missing for next year.

He didn’t play last year. It’s oretty much the same group of guys plus better coaching. It’s not hard to think they’ll win an extra 5-6 games.

Take it from an OM fan, you can have a terrible season one year, take the same exact roster with a new coach and add 8 more wins.

Yeah that's kind of the point, you were terrible

He would have been your best player, he's a few game minimum difference maker in the W/L column.

...Or you can look at UGA and go the opposite direction.

No one knows how coaches will break into their programs in their first seasons. A&M has some talent on their roster, but I don't think it's a tournament roster even with Blackshear. You'd think he'd want to go to a contender

Blackshear's name has been bounced around on UF boards since the tournament was happening. I'm not guaranteeing anything but UF is definitely in the thick here

UF and UK have been in home and A&M remains in the mix. Tennessee, Michigan State and Gonzaga are the other 3 schools in play here and all are pushing for officials.

I'm guessing UF.

He’s a solid 5 which means Prick has no shot of landing him

I'd like him to stay outside of the SEC but doesn't look likely
