I'm really excited to get him. It's always nice to get the highly coveted 5* kids, but it's almost more gratifying to pull a kid that is not rated highly but has great upside.

A commitment to a program that consistently recruits well (e.g., UGA) does sometimes trigger re-evaluation of the recruit's rating, especially if he's rated significantly below the average rating for that school's recruiting classes.

This makes sense. Basically “If Bama or Georgia or whatever big name school went after this kid then we might have been missing something in his evaluation”

I agree that happens. Hell, Terry has even said they do it at 247 but his response just came off like sour grapes.

No doubt. Look at what Eric Stokes and De'Andre Baker did after coming in as mid 3 stars. Kirby might be the best DB talent evaluator in the country.

ACA is a k-12 school and I have three in Elementary and junior high there. Kamari is a great kid form everything I hear. Not just a great athlete, but a really good dude. Great addition to your class Dawgs.
