Then year 1 will be lost for Malone (probably would anyways). Worley was bailed out by North.

I've been one of Worley's biggest haters throughout his time at Tennessee, but he deserves some credit the last 2 games.
36/65 394 yds 2 TD Zero INT and drove the team down both times late for what would've been game winning drives.
He's not Bray but he's managed the game about as well as he can and hasn't put the defense in a hole with turnovers.

"The word inside the program is that they feel they are in the best shape with four-star wide receiver Josh Malone."

As far as I'm concerned, he's already a better UT QB than Bray was. Bray never beat a ranked team. Bray always seemed to make a critical mistake in crunch time, whereas Worley has given us a chance to win in our last 2 games vs top 15 teams, and we pulled one out.
He's nowhere near the talent Bray was but he's a far better leader, and like you said, he doesn't put the defense in a hole. Which has been enough to stay competitive with Palardy punting well.

Bray is a punk, no doubt. But let's be honest, if Bray had this defense last year, we could very well have won 9 regular season games.

Absolutely. There's no sense in ignoring that Worley had three straight possessions with great start fielding position, and only managed to get a FG because North bailed him out on a jump ball. Worley would struggle with getting a starting job at UTC. I'm happy he didn't throw any picks, but sometimes I wonder if his accuracy was any better he might have more. Luckily it's so bad, most his throws aren't any closer to one of their guys than ours.
That win was all defense.
(I hate being negative after such a big win. There were a lot of good things in that win, but none of them was because of Worley's arm.)

You would probably be right, but the defense wouldn't look as good because Bray was a safe bet to throw a few picks during big games. It would still have been good enough to win 8 or 9 though like you said.
In my belief however, the only stat that matters is the one on the scoreboard, and Worley was at the helm of a team who pulled off an upset, something Bray never did.

So to you, the difference between Bray and Worley solely comes down to a signature win? So if Bray would have stopped Dooley from inventing the 5-4-4 defense, he would theoretically be better than Worley?
Dumb logic. Bray threw pics. He also threw for a lot of yards and TDs, and happened to be QB under the most incompetent coach in UT's history. From any viewpoint, comparing the two is ignorant.
edit: Forgot Simms played that game. Still think the comparison is ignorant as Dooley and co. should be blamed for just about everything the last three years (including Worley being our starter currently).

Haven't seen it here yet, but he is taking an official visit to Ohio State this weekend.

Was going to follow up and ask if his interest in OSU is legit or just taking the trip? If his interest is legitimate then I think we impressed tonight with our WR play, but not sure we can make up the ground

How many Vols here came from VN, btw? Because it seems like all of them after reading through this.
It is a UGA/UT battle and thanks to UGA falling apart like they have and letting lesser teams compete with and/or beat them, I'd say UT probably has a slight lead, but he is hardly a lock to anywhere.
He is as close or closer to Ball than he is with any UT coach. This won't likely be decided any time soon and there is plenty that will happen between now and then. This is one kid I'd be real careful throwing out any set in stone prediction on where he goes.

Taking an unofficial to UT this weekend per Woody Wommack - Rivals.

"Josh Malone will visit ...
Tennessee on Saturday. Among those joining him on the trip are 2015 4-stars Jack Jones (Vols commit), Ugo Amadi (offer), Maleik Gray (2017 w/offers) and a few others.
Malone had been considering an unofficial visit Alabama this weekend. In my opinion they need to get him back on campus to slow some of the momentum FSU picked up with the trip over the weekend"

well he is an EE, so we will all know soon enough. However, just from a QB and WR development standpoint, UGA is a pretty good fit. With Kris Durham and Marlon Brown joining AJ Green as starting WRs in the NFL, the numbers are adding up. Not to mention, apparently UGA is looking very good at QB for the future according to guys watching Brice Ramsey practice.

You make a fair point, but...
There's a reason they call us that

Everybody calls themselves QBU, RBU, WRU, LBU, DLU, etc. It's ridiculous

Idk how many post, but I'd say almost all of us lurk the recruiting board. The posters are nuts but the info is phenomenal.
