Funny how preseason polls 'don't mean anything' (unless you are ranked highly in them, then they become something.)
Look wart, it is real nice to be ranked high to begin with. Auburn has been there too, but Auburn teams have proven it doesn't mean much by the end of the year if you really are a great team. Other then getting the shaft in 2004 that is.

Love this from rival fans. Especially one whose biggest in-state competition is Arkansas State.
WHEN UR STATE! DERP DERP!

Can't see that happening for a long time.

Ah, it feels like 2008 all over again.
We've fallen apart since then.

Since Arky has been in the SEC (1992)
Ark record: 146-103 pct: .586
Aub record: 169-75 pct: .692
Losing seasons : Ark 7 Aub 3
10+ winning seasons : Ark 3 Aub 5
Ark's best record: 11-2. Auburn 4 seasons with 0-1 losses.Finishes in top 25 AP polls: Ark 5 AU 12.
Top ten finishes : Ark 1 Auburn 5. I don't think 1 season ahead would constitute a trend or even 2 or 3. Let's say ya'll closed the gap a little. By your way of thinking, I guess that Vand has passed Tenn since they beat them last year and had the better record.

We sucked when we joined the SEC. Never denied that. We sucked a good part of the HDN years, with a few exceptions. But there is a (relatively) new sheriff in town, Bobby Petrino. We won't suck while he is here and probably not after he retires/leaves or whatever. Get used to it, we are here for a while.
And if Tennessee doesn't get their shite together, Vandy is going to take their place too. Vandy had a nice recruiting class this year.

The crazy thing is after all those fancy stats Auburn still only has a 10-9-1 record against us since we joined the SEC.
Honestly, I have never been able to figure out why we have a much easier time against Auburn than we historically do against the other 5 teams in the Big 6.
Just always thought that was odd. Feel free to resume the utterly pointless back and forth that's going on here again.

I think Petrino is the best coach in the SEC. He is able to win with less talent.

I think you will be fricked if he leaves.

I actually agree with this. We married up with Petrino just like we did with Holtz. Hopefully we don't frick it up with him like we did with Lou.

Even through our 'suck' years early on, the series record of Arkansas/Auburn since we joined the SEC is 9-10-1.
ALL TIME is only 9-11-1. Auburn is way ahead of us as a program.

Arkansas, Miss. St., Ole Miss, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Missouri, and South Carolina will never win a national championship because they don't have the recruiting base. Alabama, lsu, ga, and Florida are the main first tier contenders, and are a threat to win it any given year because of talent. Auburn, tennessee, and A&M are the next tier with a chance every fifty years. That is the facts folks.
