Columbia native? I read on Twitter he visited the SC/GA game. Most experts think SC has no chance. Does Saturday change his mind?

If I had to guess, he is probably looking at Clemson's success with defensive linemen for the past 3 years and is thinking he can be a first rounder being coached up by Brent Venables

He goes to school at Hammond and plays with Muschamp's son who is the QB, and 4* DT Alex Huntley who is committed to us.

It would be a slap in the face if we missed on him, especially to UGA. There are some concerns with the level of competition that he plays at Hammond.

He's not going to UofSC. Months ago he was sewn up by Clemson, then UGA all but locked him up after Murphy picked Clemson.

As for it being a slap in the face ? Sure it is, Gamecock Booster $$$ pays for those scholarships at Hammond

Why would it be a slap in the face to lose him to UGA?

they're 18 year olds. It's more likely that they buy into what's being sold, and then disrupt team chemistry down the line and transfer out when the expectation doesn't manifest into reality

Dabo is wading into unchartered waters right now. For the past few years he's done a great job at sprinkling in high end talent on the roster, but he's never had to manage a roster that's loaded with it. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, because by no means does it guarantee success and it can cause issues behind the scenes.

I'd guess Burch is probably also looking at this: Clemson Depth Disribution. It appears there's a very talented logjam at DE for any playing time.

I moved on from this guy around Jul/Aug. Best of luck to him and whoever gets him. Will be interesting to see how we competes with other elite prospects when he gets on campus.

My understanding is that he has looked fairly pedestrian this year.

And that's how we know UGA isn't liking their chances.

Well, I don't have any idea about UGA's chances. Heard it from Gamecock fans. Sorry Auburn is not involved.

No, they’re 18 year olds. They think they can go in and win a starting gig as a true freshman. They show up, realize it’s not as easy as they thought and decide to transfer after less than a year on campus.

5 of those players listed as DE are DTs. They have plenty of space for Burch to come in and play right away
