How the frick do you know this?
This is crazy that you think you are so smart and know so much about how much weight he can gain and you’ve never seen him in person nor are you any kind of scout

This is who I'm excited to see play for LSU:
Caden Durham HUDL JR season
If he can get up to speed with the playbook and RB responsibilities this fall, he and Caleb Jackson would make a great "thunder and lightning" duo.

Trends & patterns following the development of players from the recruiting stage into the combine for almost 25yrs now. Don’t let it trigger you, just skip over it

Achane @ 188 is in the 3% tile of weight by RB
By the way, he was in the 170s in high school, never played higher than 185 at A&M...and certainly could carry the load for them as needed.
Dude had almost 40 touches against us in 2022.
The "he will struggle to ever get to 200" comment is just straight up laughable when talking about a high school junior

What do you think he will weigh in 3 years?
Posted on 6/7/24 at 2:43 pm to thunderbird1100
JR year - pre start of SR season:
247 lists Berry at 5'11 175
Rivals - 6'0 180
ESPN - 6'0 185
On3 - 5'10 182
Maybe a good comparison would be Jamaal Charles whose recruiting profile had him at 6'0 185 when committed to Texas. What I don't know is the last time 247 updated his recruiting profile before starting at UT vs the time frame when 247 last updated Berry's profile.

The haven't updated it anytime recently
The reason ON3 is accurate it that they measured and weighed Berry last week in Nashville
I would guess Charles' measurements were updated sometime around Dec/Jan his senior year when he visited Texas or when he played in the Texas HS all star game

Which would lead me to believe they are comparable body styles.

I have no clue, and neither do you, thats the point. Saying you know he will struggle to gain 18 pounds over the next 4 years is absolutely laughable.
Does it even matter is really questionable enough, certainly didnt matter for Achane. But even if he "needs" or "wants" to gain say another 15 pounds, no, its not difficult at all to see a high school junior put that kind of weight in by the time he leaves college in 4 years. This is a college strength and conditioning program he's getting into. If he wants to add that weight, no question he can.

You are acting way too insulted for someone afraid to give an opinion, tbird.

Because any demonstrative statement on what a high school junior will look like 4 years from now is utterly laughable, especially one where plenty of guys get into college strength and conditioning programs and pack on 10-15-20 pounds over the years and you say "he will really struggle" to put on any of that kind of weight.
But again, the question is does he even need to be 200? I'd argue no, and he doesnt need to be that big to be an every down back either. But again an "Every down" back is different now than it was in the Les Miles years. Nobody is toteing the rock 25 times a game any more.
...well unless it was Devon Achane against us back in 2022 almost 40 times, who by the way, was nowhere near 200 pounds at any point in college.

He doesn’t have to be anything. Who said he did? Why do you keep making up things like I said he had to be a certain weight?
If you think he can tote is 40x a game at any weight, none of this should matter to you, .

I love your circular arguments all over the place, very typical LE stuff.
Argue for ever how x guy has more weight and thats better for being an every down back, and Berry is too light to be an every down back and will "struggle" to put on 15 pounds because apparently he "has" to or something?
You are literally all over the place with this one and just arguing to argue like you usually do. That much is obvious.

Ok, good. You can read

You are actually reading what I am saying, ok, good
quote:
and will "struggle" to put on 15 pounds
* 18lbs. Yes, I think this is true.

Screeeeeeeeccccchhhhhhhbh!!!!
This is what you said, dumbass. How am I talking in circles? You recited everything I said, and then made this shite up out of the blue… “or something”. This is not anything I said. Ever, not once

You noticed Rivals lists Berry at 6 foot?

LSU’s offensive line may be the best ever in Baton Rouge, so not a good time for a running back to spurn the Tigers, though not sure about the Longhorns line.
