I’ve been deep diving 2021 QB film and MSU has a steal in Sawyer Robertson
This kid has amazing upside. He does nothing spectacularly but everything really, really well. If he puts some weight and muscle on ( he will) he’s going to be a baller. A perfect guy to throw those short and mid range passes with touch and accuracy. Great pickup for State. I’m guessing by year 2 he’s ready to go.There are kids who run better and throw better long balls but this guy just looks perfect for Leach and MSU.

Edit-Damn. Y'all old boys be hatin'.

This often gets overlooked for the shiny toy with the rocket arm. Colt McCoy wasn't a huge deep threat in college, but he completed 80% of his passes. He'd nickel and dime a defense all the way down the field on shitty slants, shallow crosses, and screens, which is just what Leach likes to do.

Pretty much what Alabama does so successfully. Sets you up with short screens, slants, etc..then bombs your arse deep. Leach’s history with QB’s isn’t so much with the deep ball ability, but rather the kid’s ability to make multiple reads, go through the progressions quickly.
