I never thought a 5-7 record would cause a team to lose so much in the recruiting trail...

Miami had a 5-7 record last season.
5-7
5 wins
7 losses
Ended up with the #7 class. Most of which were committed before the season ended. Jaden Rashada being the only one to decommit (there might've been more, but I don't remember them.)
Florida just fell from 3rd, the 5th, all the way down to 10th. When y'all mentioned this back in June, I laughed.
But y'all were right.

Who did you lose now that caused UF to fall to 10th? Serious question.

Thanks. I could have sworn that happened already.
I agree with OP though, I'm not sure I understand how Miami can hold a class with a similar record. Maybe recruits are being truly sold that Miami is on the uptrend and UF is in decline. I don't believe that's accurate, but it's all I can think of...

He is also from McKinney, Texas too. Maybe realized he wanted to be by family and Texas making the CFP. Texas also landed Andrew Mukuba from Clemson.

Behind the scenes it was, but a Texas site prematurely announced it and then rescinded the article.
Now it's official.

Y’all aren’t throwing out the U money. Huge difference

this is the correct answer. As with ATM, money doesn't guarantee a winning team. The U is a long way to competing for the playoffs.

Florida is bad, but not as bad a situation as Arkansas is. The decision to keep Pittman around is disastrous and we’re losing players left and right due to negative recruiting against us and not ponying up with NIL.
