I don't think I need to explain my skepticism. There are 11 1/2 pages of it in this thread already. I just find it fishy that a perennial bottom dweller, who hasn't done anything of relevance in this conference for 50 years, and who is coming off a 7-6 season, is doing so well in recruiting. Ole Miss has signed exactly four 5-star recruits in the past ten years - two of them were from Mississippi and one other was Michael Oher, whose surrogate parents were both Ole Miss grads and who played sports at Ole Miss. Ole Miss is more than likely going to sign five 5-star recruits in this class alone, with quite a few coming in from out of state.
So…please forgive me if I have a hard time believing Ole Miss is doing it all legitimately.

Being skeptical is fine. Saying you're "seeing" something though isn't skepticism. It's an outright accusation. If you're going to make such an accusation, then by all means do so, and do so with the support of whatever evidence you might have.
It's fine to be a skeptic and ask questions. Just don't get butthurt when those questions don't yield the answer you're looking for.

You're free to believe whatever you want.

Who's been on probation more recently Alabama or Ole Miss? None of your brethren would answer. Shut the frick up

Alabama. And just because we've been on probation more recently doesn't mean there isn't anything fishy going on at Ole Miss. I don't see how your point is relevant.

Making random accusations about stuff being "fishy" has no relevance either. All schools are trying it towards Om, yet nothing will come of it...

I'm not butthurt at all. I'm actually glad Ole Miss is taking a few of these recruits and keeping them out of the hands of more dangerous rival schools like Auburn, LSU, and Georgia.
But that doesn't mean I am not going to question what's going on at Ole Miss when the Rebels have never recruited like this before.

My point being is that everyone is being a hypocritical jackass about cheating. You motherfrickers do it just like everyone else.

I'm not saying something will come of it.

Good, less disappointment for you.

I tire of posting this but we were consistently in the top 20-25 with Nutt. We had a top 25 class after going 4-8. We had a top 40 after 2-10 and Freeze only had a month to recruit. Find something else to worry about.

True. But cheating is easier to see at smaller schools who have no history of ever being a football powerhouse.

Like dmagic said, we recruit alright usually. Lots of momentum and new coach equals a much better class. The guy is very open about his love for recruiting and being a tireless recruiter. Glad to see he is doing his job well

"Never" is a bit of a stretch. "Not in the modern recruiting era" is more like it.
But, then again, we have a lot of good things going for us right now.

How so?
Literally the only "evidence" you've got is the fact that Ole Miss is recruiting well. As I've pointed out on this board before, that is literally a circular argument.

I think its great.
The NCAA is toothless. Wouldn't take Auburn's title, won't take down Miami.
Given that positive re-enforcement eventually a program was going to say "frick it, lets see how far we can go."
I like it even better that is wasn't a Blue Blood. College football has a terrible lack of parity built-in, so what does an Ole Miss have to lose? They get caught and they are forced to the basement again?
I applaud what Ole Miss is doing. A&M can't do it because Texas would rebuild the fricking NCAA just to keep us in our place, so I am glad someone is.

Check RockyWDE's thread or Werewolvesofathens... there's good info there.
Oxford is a great place. We have a charismatic young coach, good facilities, and positions of need.
Combine that with our connections to RN/Treadwell, the Under Armor game, top guys are finally interested in us.
It's the perfect storm.
