He won't really have to recruit QBs. Arkansas is pretty much set at QB until 2019. We routinely crank some pretty good QBs out every couple years.
(Assuming they all redshirt)
2013: B Allen/B Mitchell
2014: B Allen/A Allen
2015: B Allen/A Allen/R Peavey
2016: A Allen/R Peavey/ T Storey
2017: A Allen/R Peavey/T Storey
2018: R Peavey/T Storey/????
2019: T Storey/????/????

He has a 4-star QB Committed right now, a 4-star Committed for '14 and will add another for the 2014 class, probably a David Cornwell type guy.
Then all he has to do is drive south for '15 as he will have a 5-star QB in-state.
Recruiting to Wisconsin =/= Recruiting to Arkansas

Sigh. The never ending "star struck" post.
Rashad Johnson was a walk on
Javier Arenas was a 3*
Marcel Dareus was a 3*
Demeco Ryan's was a 3*
Mark Ingram was a 4*
BJ Scott was a 5* who couldn't beat out a true freshman for a starter position.
Stars smars ...

You obviously don't understand statistics.
For 2012,
if you were a 5* coming out of high school...you had a 12.5% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
if you were a 4* coming out of high school...you had a 3% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
if you were a 3* coming out of high school...you had a 0.6% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
if you were a 2* coming out of high school...you had a 0.0015% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
So.....
a 5* player was over 4x more likely to be 1st team All American than a 4* player. Over 20x more likely than a 3* player. And nearly 12,000x more likely than a 2* player.

Those numbers are so inflated because there are so many more 4 stars than 5 stars.

That is the point.
Do you not understand?
A 5* ranked player statistically has a much much much greater chance of being good than a 4*, 3*, or 2* player.

Recruiting rankings when evaluating a class or a group are pretty accurate. Rankings when evaluating an individual are not so accurate especiall with camp biases and exposure levels.
Only a few slip through the cracks but some schools do better than others at finding them

Just a courtesy bump. cheers.

Can we start another thread that says:
"How many 5 stars has your favorite school processed out over the last 6 years?"
Makes you wonder how much they fluffed certain player recruiting rankings.
