Sorry, I just noticed the 25 upvotes that "Bring Burton Burns home" got.

the top priority. He has as many ties to New Orleans as frank does and is a young, up and coming coach

Everyone keeps saying this. Juluke coached Karr in New Orleans. He hasn't done shite at Tech. My Tech friends have been disappointed in him thus far.

ETA: He just left Tech for Texas Tech. I doubt he leaves them a day after joining the staff. Juluke isn't coming to LSU.

Frank Wilson will be LSU's head coach in 2018 or 2019. He is getting some experience before taking over. UTSA didn't have FBall team until a few years ago. I really hope they will let Frank get the staff he wants under him.

No, he isn't. Juluke isn't ready for that kind of job. The only people who think he's the top priority are message board posters.

Burton Burns is in the same boat. He isn't a serious contender.

Larry Porter is the only legit name to have surfaced so far, but there is a lot going on behind the scenes to re-shuffle some responsibilities. There's a lot of talk that the recruiting coordinator title will be given to Austin Thomas. He will remain on the player personnel side, meaning he won't be able to recruit off-campus, but that's the trend now in CFB recruiting. It's much more of an administrative and logistics position now, and Thomas is a rockstar in the making and has been Frank's right hand for the last two seasons. LSU would then hire a true RB coach, and there are more options there.

The impact on THIS recruiting class won't be clear until after this weekend's official visits, but should be minimal. K Fulton was the biggest uncommitted target that Frank was really close to. Not hard to see this being the straw that pushes him to UF, but LSU people feel like Raymond can keep him home.

You think all that Wilson did was recruit RB's?

He recruited LA in general.

But the man that trained Wilson in recruiting is on staff. I trust O can train the next man up as well.
