You're right. A coach whose star is on the rise and already has his program in the CFP in Year 2 can't POSSIBLY be doing things right by his alma mater. Thanks for clearing that up.

Let's be clear, EVERYONE cheats their balls off in the SEC.

We’re doing our best. Thanks for noticing.

Bruh. We don't need to cheat to get recruits. We just need competent leadership and... obviously we have that now. The rest of the place sells itself.

Very hard to believe, Even a program like USC which is a much better school and program than UGA cheated

You have no idea how nice it is to finally be cheating

Agree, If you can get away with it...Time for UGA to end the 40 year drought and finally win one.

Kirby did what any good coach should do at the premier university in a talent rich state. He put up a wall. He also dipped into North Carolina and Tennessee to pull elite talent.
I wouldn't say he needed to cheat to do it either. He's injected a metric frick ton of enthusiasm into their program over a short period of time and the dividends paid off today.
This isn't cheating or rocket science.

As a Bama fan, I'm conflicted. Kirby learned under the best & there were times in the past, Bama fans thought he might be Alabama's coach after Saban retired.
But, like Coach Bryant, his alma mater came calling. Mama called him home.
The reason I'm conflicted is I'm not sure if I would rather a team in another conference, ie Ohio St. or if I would rather a team in the SEC become the next dynasty.
First off, I simply can't stand Urban Meyer & hope he loses every game.
And I've always liked Georgia, even though now the fans are so excited, they are becoming assholes.
And Bama will have to compete with Georgia head to head if they win their division.
A lot of teams, Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, etc. are probably negative recruiting against Bama by bringing up Saban's age. It was bound to happen.
So, when Saban decides to hang it up, who should be the next dynasty.... Georgia or Ohio State or someone else?
(Hopefully not Clemson, can't stand them either)

Don't know about all that, Kirby seems socially awkward...Has to be the cash IMO

This
Georgia is doing it better than anybody else this cycle, and the on field success is only making it easier.
It'll be interesting to see if they can keep it under wraps or if it gets out of hand and they get caught like Ole Miss.

I have no problem with if you ain't cheating you aint trying
No program that has been nationally irrelevant for 40+ years brings in this class without $$$$$
Georgia fans are trying to convince themselves that their school doesn't pay recruits lol

Most of our top recruits are Georgia players. Quit comparing us to Ole miss who was landing players from all over the country with no tradition or anyrhing
Back to top
