247 is really, really high on him...

LINK

I just want to know how many years he would have left to play now.

I think he has 3 years to play 3, not 100% sure on that.

I just watched some YouTube film on him, and that kid is good. He need a kid that can drive people down field like he was doing to those JuCo DE's. He's also got good feet out in the open field. I watched some screen passes, and he almost looked like a Tight End running down the field to hit someone. Very agile.

ETA: He has an OV to FSU on January 13th

Good, he could redshirt and take over after Latu at RT... Or, Latu could play RG and he could play RT. Sometime in the future.

Not questioning his atleticism. But it takes more than that to be a good tackle.
I thought I read where he's only played 1 year of football.
Again, not the ideal juco prospect, imo.

Lack of experience at the position/football, only 2 years to play, and not an EE.

I don't know if his upside is enough to outweigh those factors. And can he even tap into that upside in such a short time?

He could always redshirt and learn the position. I have faith in Grimes. This guy has all the measurables from what I've seen.

And then only play one more year. He's only got 2 years, not 3

I see. I thought he would still have 2 years AFTER a redshirt season.

He used a year playing basketball, a year redshirting for basketball, and a year playing football. So he only has 2 years to play 2 now

Not saying this Juco OL is another Danny Watkins, but didn't the Watkins kid just pick up football in 2007, or 2008 and is now on a NFL team starting? I don't remember which team. Pretty remarkable if I got this right.

Latu is just almost as big of a project as Winson. Latu has only played football for 2 seasons.

It's possible, Antonio Gates didn't even play CFB, Jimmy Graham only played a year....

TightEnd is nothing like playing OT.

Welp, look at it this way, Watson OR Latu would still be much better than AJ Greene at tackle. That guy just flat out sucked donkey balls. He would go triple team the NG and leave the DE with a free rush to Trotter/Moseley. I can't tell you how many times I saw that. He's one of the worst linemen I've ever seen suit up for Auburn, without a doubt....

:Kige:

Just once I would have like to see Greene finish a block on a run play. He is always just standing around when we are running the ball.

I was actually glad he got hurt against Clemson. DaQuan Bowers was abusing him every play.
