Yea, and I hope we take Slade and Sullen off the field, and never let Tunde actually see the field...

for the people moaning over Leff..... put it this way, we could've had another USM OL commit, the higher rated Caleb Peterson (3star OG from Auburn High)... but we didn't.

Maybe this means we are getting Blake Anderson? I hope it is Koetter, but Anderson would be good too.
If we are getting Anderson, then I want him to bring QB Jon Wallace from Phenix City with him. Looking like Pike is not the answer. Pike has some of the worst film Ive ever seen.
Wallace has great film. Can make all the throws. And is a winner. Id much rather have Wallace than Leggins at QB.

Slade hasn't been bad, especially for his first year starting.
no kidding....he's a fricking redshirt freshman and people are acting like he's dog shite..... some people need to get a clue.
could he have played better?.... of course... will he get better?.... of course.

I don't even know if Chad Slade will start next season.
LT - Greg Robinson
LG - Christian Westerman
C - Reese Dismukes
RG - Will Latu/John Sullen/Chad Slade/Eric Mack
RT - Will Latu/Chad Slade/Menelik Watson (assuming we eventually land him)

I've seen the guy play a good bit. He wouldn't be able to compete at an SEC level.

I think he'll get RG with Latu at RT.

I likw Slade. One of my favorite players. He is a very hard worker....But he is not athletic enough to play OG in a pulling role. Example, in the LSU game they asked him to pull and block the backside RDE. Normal play, run all the time in the pros. Throws off the keys of the LBs to open the middle for the TE. LSU's DE was in the backfield before Slade even made it past the C...I think Slade would be better suited for a zone blocking scheme. I actually hope we return to zone blocking. It is what Caddy, Rudi, Irons, ect all had success under.

I don't either... it all depends on how Latu (or potentially watson) comes in and performs. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Slade improved over spring/summer and owned the RT position.... it'd be ideal really.
Competition enhances talent.... and our OL should be getting more talented.

With the way coaches were talking about Eric Mack at the end of the season, I hope he takes Slade's spot... That's just me.

i could see that too. Mack had slipped my mind.
Come to think of it, we have had some seriously bad luck with our top OL recruits recently.

Seriouly, Christian and Phillips can't play football Mack was too fat to play early. Gayden left, and Coleman obviously has a different situation.

Yup, and you could also throw in other positions on defense, but I'll put that off until we have a coach worth a frick back there.

Jamie Newberg of ESPN just tweeted this
Robert Leff just told me "I could say 'War Eagle" before I could say mommy or daddy." Happy for kid fulfilling his dream #auburn
I do like the attitude, however. Hopefully he turns out to be a stud.

Mack has looked great every time he has seen the field and still doesnt start. He must give no effort in practice.

with Grimes' background, you might be getting your wish.

Mack is a bust so far. He had a chance to beat out both Sullen and Slade and could not do it. And he did not get any praise after the Samford start. He did not play well in that game.

To be fair, none of our linemen looked good in that game... We got pushed around. It was sad.

I dont know. With Jeff Grimes and his senioritis hard to not see Sullen starting again. Same goes with Slade.
Latu is really raw and will not be enrolling early. He could start at RT. We will see.
