Trooper Taylor, Curtis Luper, and Gus Malzahn have all interviewed for head coaching jobs it looks like.

Which is shocking, IMO...

Who would want to hire Troop as their Head Coach?

To be fair al.com said he was "in the mix" I don't know if he interviewed.

Well, we're already more than likely losing Roof, Thigpen, and Lolley... We can't lose Troop and Luper, too... We would probably lose half of our recruiting class if all of that turnover were to occur.

I can't imagine having Troop as a head coach. That would just be weird. Would he still do the towel thing?

I just don't see us getting rid of thigpen yet. Maybe next year, but i doubt it this year.

Well if Malzahns goes to UNC, I think Thig goes with him. other than that I don't see him getting fired or leaving.

@Scott_Schrader: Auburn RBs Coach Curtis Luper will visit Arik Armstead at his school (Pleasant Grove) in-home visit this afternoon

Rivals has that kid listed at 6-8 280, all the way from cali to.

Trooper is more qualified to be a HC than an OC and imo would be slightly better version of Yaba Dabo who just happened to hold the same exact title at Clemson(Asst HC/WR) that Troop has at Auburn before Dabo got the HC job there.

Hmm, maybe we can grab him... Doubt it, though. I'm not going to get my hopes up.

He won't leave the west coast, plus he's a stickler about his position.

He wants to be a DE, not an OT or DT, a DE. He's not Julius Peppers enough to have a lot of success as a 43 DE.

I'm not sure if he's still hell bent on playing basketball...

TJ's parents aren't even going. I'm not really that worried. Unless he and Ryan Anderson are keeping secrets about him flipping (wouldn't shock me, the two are inseparable), I don't see it happening.

Guess, what, they decided to go.

Kinda odd that when news hits that Yeldon is visiting bama, the media comes out with Luper being a prime candidate for the UAB job.

Damn, a DE? He would be bigger than Michael Johnson that used to play for GT.

MJ is a string bean compared to AA.

He's got that Jason Taylor build, while Armstead looks like a LT(the position, not the OLB)...

The simple solution here is to lie to Armstead about allowing him to play DE and make him switch to OT as soon as he gets on campus.
