Former St. Thomas Aquinas five-star WR Trevon Grimes @Trevongrimes8 has transferred from Ohio State to Florida.

72nd overall in last years class on 24/7. Rivals five star composite four star

Will be a sophomore next year.

Moving to be closer to his family.

Huge get.

Thought he was going to Miami, very nice get by Mullen. Need a couple LB transfers now.

Technically 4 star (composite - which is what we generally go by for recruits... I see rivals 5* though), but yeah... solid pickup for sure. How do transfers work relative to initial counters/signee totals?

Anything specific or just homesick?

I don't think he will. He left for personal reasons with his family last season. So NCAA should clear him to play because he is doing it for that reason. Our recruiting group may be pretty darn good next year. Cleveland, Toney, Massey, Jefferson, and Grimes all have pretty good talent.

If we can find someone to throw them the ball...that would be great

Agreed. Something is going on up there. When Jones signed rumors were out that he is trying to pull guys from there to UF and messaging them and shite.

CLemson stealing the kid as well..something is in the air.

Probably so but he’ll apply for the same hardship waiver T.J McCoy applied for and got when he had a sick family member. He may get it but Gainesville is a pretty good distance from his hometown in Broward County, we’ll see.

Transfers don't count in the 25 commit total unless they are coming from prep or juco.

You can't recruit kids at other schools. So transfers don't affect the recruiting number.

I knew this and it doesn't matter at all, but why was Jarrett Stidham considered a recruit last year for Auburns class?

True. We won't reach 25 most likely anyways unless we get a lot of fillers for depth.

Have a few big names left on the board, mainly on offensive line. Outside of that because of ESP it's really hard to fill a complete group with the coaching change.

Stidham was at a Juco after Baylor he just didn’t play football. Counted for the Juco rankings.

Perfect. This was my assumption as I didn't think we had to worry about it with Reed, but just wasn't certain. Logic makes sense as well... 25 signee limit is based on *recruiting* and transfers are another animal altogether (in theory at least).
