Transferring to South Carolina from UGA.

I like the pick up. Not talking shite, but would love to hear what the Dawgs say about this.

Had no idea UGA was playing him at CB this year. Don't usually hear about that transition as often as others.

What's there to say? he came in as a RB, team them switched him to CB for depth and then realized he wouldn't get to play CB or RB anytime soon.

Sucks for the kid and I hope he balls out out at USCe

honestly that was a pretty solid summary.

i didnt know if UGA recruited him as a corner or as a RB. your running back room is pretty deep right?

trying to understand why he ended up switching positions and then transferring.

Would he not have been in line to split carries with Milton this season?

He was considered by the staff I believe as an athlete, despite the recruiting rankings having him at RB. I think when he got to campus they didn't like his chances to make it through the pack at RB so they started the DB project.

No. Milton, McIntosh, Edwards all in front of him at the position and at least one incoming freshman with big expectations. If he wants to play at RB, it was going to need to be somewhere else. Staff made that evaluation pretty quickly, and seemingly he was ok with the move initially, but ultimately probably the right decision to move on. Tough to break through in either room for him.

What does SC's RB room look like? Harris/Lloyd the top 2 I'd assume, but anyone else promising there?

I believe he was committed to us at one point in his Junior year

We signed a beast at RB this year, so he probably did not see a path forward. I bet he will do well for USC and be a pretty good RB.

He had no future at CB.

He'll need to put on some weight to play tailback, but this is a good pick up, even if only for depth. He was previously committed to USC, so there's history with the program.

Glad to see he's going to get a better shot somewhere else. Beamer has flipped several positions using this method. If he can get those parts to coalesce into a team, Carolina is in good position to make a run at the official off-season dark horse.

Lovasea Carroll is the perfect example of the proper use of the transfer portal.

Wish him all the best in Cock Land.

Thin, MarShawn Lloyd and JuJu McDowell will be back. Kevin Harris and Zaq White are testing the NFL waters. We signed a running back transfer from Wake Forest and now Carroll. Carroll should definitely help.

Oh, wow. Yeah... Carroll should be able to be part of a committee pretty quickly then. Sounds like a great fit. Glad for him.

He was coming in as a back but the depth at CB was dire and the staff felt the need to try Carroll at DB mainly due to his speed.

He got over recruited at both positions. Who knows what position he'll play. The thought was being a CB is much more profitable than being a RB at the next level.
