Sanders will end up at Bama, Cain is a AU, LSU, Texas battle. UGA will indeed take a RB this cycle but our ultimate insider believes it may be Daniel Carter or possibly McCintosh.

Our guys believe we have a legit shot with Elam also even though his older bro played at UF. Even though the CB' s say otherwise we feel we are in good shape with Lewis Cine from Texas also.

Long way to go with the RBs. Don't count Dell out, as we learned last year.

Mullen is a lazy recruiter but he will develop like it's nobody business. He will have Florida rolling if the administration we give him a few years.

If he can get some A+ recruiters and fix his in game management problems he'll be at UF a long time. If he keeps Hev and doesn't make changes he'll be gone in 4 years

Serious question. How do you feel about giving somebody $6.1 million a year who still needs to do this? Is it just a sign of the times that an unfinished product commands that kind of salary?

Considering how he closed last year and we are in June, haven’t even seen a game coached yet... yes I am fine with the recruiting. Do I wish it was better at this point, yes, but I’ll wait until December to start being critical. Florida’s recruiting ground isn’t full of loyal kids that want to stay home. Not to mention Florida has 2 other major recruiting players in state. It’s too early to tell right now how things will be on NSD.

It makes me sick but it is what it is. There's a reason he was the 3rd pick

You guys said the same thing about Mac. Mullen pushed out the only great recruiter we had. Richt and Taggart have had zero issues despite having to deal with the exact same issues. In fact they're getting the kids to stay home. The new smell that got the kids in December has worn off.

Top 100 of the state commits:

Miami- 13
FSU-9
UF-4

Hell Richt took over a program that hasn't been relevant in 15 years and in his first full class:
State Florida commits
Top 10: 1
Top 20: 3
Top 50: 11
Top 100: 15

With 90% committing before he ever coached a game.

Apparently not, look how he’s recruiting. Running circles around Mullen and the country club mafia.

I just find it funny that Gator fans are finally saying this stuff (though you were always skeptical of his recruiting). All the State fans that warned Gator fans that they were getting a great coach/developer but a terrible recruiter were brushed off as "butthurt". Watching a coach for nine years gives you a pretty good idea on who they are.

If y’all hiring Merlin ends up fricking your program and MSU then it’s a big net negative for the SEC.

Maybe the conference needs some rules about poaching head coaches.

Even in a transition year with a losing season Mullen bested his top class at Mississippi State.

Most people with even a modicum of perspective would say that it's probably the location more than the coach.

I was just over there looking at the Gators, they're at 34 in team rankings

When have they been that low before?

It's incredible how far behind they are. They can try and save face and claim it's early and it's only July.

Recruiting is changing. It's not like it was even two years ago before the early signing period was created. Georgia set the precedent last year and everyone is following suit.

If I were a Florida fan, I would be pissed. That program should never ranked 34 and behind the likes of Wake Forest, Iowa, and Virginia.

I believe they will still end up with a solid class. However, I would still have cause for concern as some of their recruiters aren't getting the job done. Winning cures all though.

Could be the prior coach (or you can ignore this for the 100th time).

McElwain had the 2018 recruiting class ranked top 10 when he got canned.

If you want to credit Mullen for keeping the class as high as he finished it... that is fair.

If you want to credit Mullen for the transfers that don't affect the rankings... that is fair.

But to credit Mullen for his best class ever when it was worse than his predecessor at the time of firing is intellectually dishonest.
