Elias Ricks at #39 and the #4 CB

Id get killed on our board and likely here as well but I don't really think it's a bad ranking.
First of all about Ricks. Didn't have a great year, was injured and missed all Star week. For these dog and pony shows that last part is big. He also isn't some fantastic or rare athlete nor does he have anywhere near elite speed. He's technically good and has great feel but just doesn't wow anyone aside from his size which isn't even anything special these days. He's bigger and if he turns out like him in college I'd be pleased but he reminds me of Vernon Hargreaves. A guy that just plays an instinctive and technical game that compensates for less than elite athletic skill and speed. I personally believe long term he'd fit better at S.
Now to the 3 guys above him. All performed well during all Star week and that is huge. All are better athletes with better speed and have more upside than Ricks.
Ringo-6'2 200+ with legit speed. His upside is very high.
Manning-not as thick as Ricks but pretty much the same height. He also is a better athlete with better speed. Huge upside and a great Sr year
Jones-huge kid. Damn near 6'3, a little thin but a big time athlete with good speed. His upside is probably the best of the 4. And quite honestly the kid was the best CB on the camp circuit this spring/summer and was very good all Star week. He showed out everywhere he went this year.
Not sure if ESPN uses the draft angle with their rankings but I'd assume they do. All 3 guys ranked ahead of Ricks likely have better pro upside than Ricks.
ESPN does suck so I'm not in any way advocating for them or their rankings and these 4 could be ranked in any order and you wouldn't have much of an argument to make against any of them. The subjectiveness shows in instances where guys are this close.

LSU is obsessed with the fact we can’t play Georgia every year,

Yep they already had something like 20 five stars in their two deep roster.

All I can remember is 36 to 16 and 37 to 10.

So I don’t think it matters what talent they get.. it is either overrated or they cannot coach.

Probably some of both

I like this. Dawgs have 6 top 25 and 14 top 100 with 12 signed and another possible to commit. I'm jumping ship from Composite to ESPN this cycle

Hit everyone up when this equates to UGA winning something of national significance.
With the amount of talent you guys have brought in, you all should have begun a Bama/Saban type run. Instead, LSU has murdered you the last two times and Bama has ripped out your souls... smh
