Before anyone else posts in this thread. The 40 time is likely fabricated.

Somehow, all of these kids end up running 4.55's at the NFL combine... strange.

Hand timed 40s at camp are the bleacher report of 40's

Why would I be jealous? Our top WR commit in the 2015 class is more than a full tenth of a second faster than Dylan Moses.

If he can run an actual 4.39 he is currently faster than every participant in the 2014 NFL combine except for six guys. Not picking on this recruit or LSU, this kind of fake time happens everywhere. It's the difference between real timing equipment and pseudo methods (including, but not limited to hand timing)

Somehow the high school recruits are always faster than the NFL combine guys

So, if this is commonplace, why two posts about it within minutes of the thread being started?

I'm sorry if numbers are mean, they aren't trying to be mean, they only know how to be numbers. A high school recruit isn't faster than every participant in the NFL combine except for six guys.

Again, this isn't an LSU thing. It's all over the place with UGA recruits and everybody's recruits. I'm just a fan of accuracy.

The issue isn't the numbers. I've been following recruiting for a while. It's the rapid responses this thread received over something everyone is aware of. I guess we need to be reminded about HS 40 times for every recruit discussed on this board then? I'm in I guess.

I didn't post it, but why not? You see all kinds of measures listed under recruit profiles all of the web, many of which are inaccurate (even height and weight). Would it be preferable for everyone to just cut back to name and position? This place sometimes.
