Apparently you have some delusions about special arrangements, though.

Not delusional at all actually. But carry on thinking so.

Maybe that's how grey shirts work at Ole Miss

If his tuition was paid for there wouldn't be any question about where Riley would be going. There would also have been no reason for Elliot Porter to go to University of Kentucky instead of waiting 1 semester to go to LSU. You can't just make arrangements to pay the guy's tuition. Not at LSU at least.
ETA I don't think they know how grey shirts work at Ole Miss because no way in hell a prospect is going to choose a grey shirt at Ole Miss over a full ride elsewhere

I think his point is valid. If LSU was going to pay his way even during the greyshirt period he'd already be committed.
LSU's compliance office has been watching our football program like a hawk. Maybe Ole Miss cheats when it comes to greyshirts, but no way in hell LSU jeopardizes their program for a player like Duke Riley (no offense to Riley).

You implied that LSU would be making arrangements to pay his tuition if he took the grey shirt, essentially saying LSU would be paying him. That's a flame IMO.

I wasn't saying yall cheat or even insinuating it. I've seen it with plenty of recruits not just our own. If you think I'm still stupid that's fine.
I don't even think that's whats holding yall back. I think you're waiting to see what your other LB recruits first.

See my last post. I wasn't implying anything at all. I'm sorry you took it that way.

Only other one is Reuben Foster and I think it is pretty clear he's not coming.
As I said, ideally our last two spots are accounted for by Bower and Jackson. I don't think any LSU fan thinks we have a legit shot at Foster.

No worries breh. Obviously some recruits are given incentives, happens everywhere. I just don't think paying a guy's tuition is the wisest way to cheat.
Anyway we should know more about Riley by Sunday. I think his heart is at LSU, but his head may be at Ole Miss or TCU. Dunno what will win out. He looks like a natural but you gotta be a little wary of John Curtis kids. They've been playing in that system and lifting weights since they were like 8 years old

From my understanding he's in love with Les and LSU. I think he is purple and gold through and through.

Well we did send Brick Haley over to visit Foster, so we haven't given up on him. We also haven't given up on Jamal Carter, S from Miami committed to the Canes.
Three things seem clear at this point:
1) We have two spots left.
2) We want to fill them with elite players.
3) Riley is a backup plan.

Foster will definitely not be at LSU. We tried really hard to get in on him after Chiz got shitcanned and again when Minter declared. Hope he goes to UGA.

His recruitment has been a circus. His tattoo will be foolish if he goes to UGA.

True but Jacob Hester had a Texas Longhorns tattoo and we still loved him at LSU. That should have been our big pitch to Foster

I highly doubt he pays his own way. I'm sure something will be arranged. Not a slight but that's usually how these things work.
Well, he's from Louisiana so his tuition will already be paid for by TOPS (available to all Louisiana HS students finishing with a 3.0 GPA and 21 or above on ACT).
