I'm not reading this whole shitshow of a thread, but Jacoby Stevens cited LSU's DBU reputation as one of the reasons he committed.
As you were ladies.

I keep saying this. Doesn't matter what CBSSports or SDS puts up for clickbait articles. The RECRUITS all think of LSU as DBU. The huge contracts for PP7 and Honey Badger magnify this perception. That is why LSU could start all 5 star DBs and have more 5 stars on the bench. And as long as we have elite recruiters on top of that, the trend will continue.

Both guys are elite talents the type that don't come around often but like I said those days with them are long gone. You can bring those guys up but I can bring up Ha Ha Clinton Dix, Kareem Jackson, Mark Barron, etc. Point being you have some elite guys but so do we the only thing is we have more noteworthy DBs in the league playing now. Other than PP7, Clairborne, and Tyrann who else does LSU have in the league to qualify them as DBU??

Not sure about current NFL rosters as they aren't finalized yet, but:
Ron Brooks
Jalen Collins
Craig Loston
Ronald Martin
Jalen Mills
Eric Reid
Tharold Simon
Plus PP7, Tyrann, Mo
Then Trey White and Jamal Adams for next year, both likely 1st rounders.

None of those guys you have named cant even be mentioned with pp7 or tyrann but the guys who have been named in the above comment can all be mentioned on the same tier as the guys you mentioned that's all I'm saying. The moniker DBU hasn't been associated with Bama.

Hey numbnuts we are talking about DBs. The subject matter for your clueless self is whether LSU can rightfully claim the moniker "DBU". As people of your ilk are predisposed to doing, you lie to prove your distorted view of the world. LSU has not had a losing season in recent history and had a title in 2011.
Under your aforementioned standard, can you name one DB who played for LSU in the last 10 years who did not play in the NFL? By the way you sanctimonious Bama fans are the scum of the earth. Before Saban you were getting your butts whipped by MSU, NLU, and a host of others. Now you call teams that have averaged 9-10 wins a season over the last ten years "losers". Pathetic! If you believe Bama will enjoy the success they have under Saban forever, you are in for a big let down. Enjoy it while it lasts. But have a little class about yourself in the mean time.
A title in 2011? No one sees it that way except you guys. Good for you though.
I'm not too concerned about LSU in the future after Saban. Mike Shula even beat you while we had about 50 total scholarship players.

No he didn't.

I stand corrected. I though Shula was already in as coach in 2002.

And in 2002 you beat a team riddled with injuries and leaning on backup QB Marcus Randal.

Oh and on the DBU subject Bama has more blue chip talent on the secondary and there are more Five Stars on Bama's Secondary
I think you're wrong here. LSU has six 5 star blue chip recruits in their secondary I believe.
Tre White
Kevin Toliver
Jamal Adams
Kristian Fulton
Ed Paris (who rides the bench)
Donte Jackson
The 5 stars that I can think of off the top of my head at Bama is
M. Fitzpatrick
M. Humphrey
Tony Brown
K. Sheffield
Am I wrong? You have a couple highly rated 4 star guys but so does LSU. I think our secondary is a little more blue chippier :)

Maybe it was Steele's scheme but Alabama's secondary out performed LSU's last year. Off the top of my head Fitzpatrick had a better stat line than White and Toliver combined.
We will see this year which group performs better.

Oh, for sure. No question about that.
I was just letting that other guy know that LSU has more 5 star DB's on their squad than Bama does. Not trying to make it a big deal, but if LSU has Bama beat in any category, no matter how miniscule, then I will correct them

Mr. Saint Stevens recruitment will go until December because he can't enroll until then but all actuality I think Bama fans feel y'all have a chance to flip I think this guy is as sold as cowans is to y'all but time will tell. I say December because he is enrolling early

I'll play.
Tre White - Composite 4-star
Kevin Toliver - Composite 5-star
Jamal Adams - Composite 5-star
Kristian Fulton - Composite 5-star
Ed Paris - Composite 4-star
Donte Jackson - Composite 4-star
So three Composite 5-stars and three 4-stars.
Now let's look at the four Alabama players you listed.
Minkah Fitzpatrick - Composite 5-star
Marlon Humphrey - Composite 5-star
Tony Brown - Composite 5-star
Kendall Sheffield - Composite 5-star
All four were Composite 5-stars. Do you want me to run through the list of 4-star DBs on our roster?

I went by 247 ratings. Since they're the most respected recruiting service. Eric Monroe is a borderline 5 star recruit as well.
But according to 247 LSU has more 5 star DB's.

Possibly bc nobody threw their way. Most teams just picked on Dwayne Thomas all game.
But let's talk about your team for once. Both White and Toliver are better than any of A&M's DBs. But it's ok, keep riding that Bama D.
And before we talk about stars, let's talk about what team Shannon Terry loves and what his job is.

It's okay to admit that a Bama player had a better season than an LSU player man
Fitzpatrick is a damn fine player. I think he might be a better playmaker than Toliver but I think Toliver is a better pure coverage corner.
