But is there any more reason why besides he's from the home state. Is Texas offering more playing time as a true freshman? Are they full at WR? Higher WR on the board? Did they cool? Grades?

The obvious answer is that he wants to play for Saban.

The kid grew up a longhorn fan and when he received an offer to play for his dream team- he took. Its simple. Its not a big loss for Georgia, doubt this kid ever sees much PT

According to the AJC, he flipped for two reasons. One, he always wanted to play for the state school. Lastly, he had not had much contact with UGA coaches, saying “he didn’t feel the love” after he committed. He’ll contribute as a slot receiver for Texas. We need WR’s, but this isn’t a catastrophic loss.

Good player and seems like a good kid. He has been posting pro Texas stuff for a while and trying to get an offer from them. Once he got it....done deal.

I personally liked Curtis more than Anderson, this does not surprise me flipping to the state school. If Strong takes the Miami job maybe he will flip back to UGA, we shall see. If UGA does not land Davis it will be a crushing blow, with Eason coming in I really don't understand why Kyle is considering Auburn at all. Their QB play is horrific and they don't have a top flight signal caller coming in, maybe Kyle will shock everybody and head to Knoxville. Being a EE his decision should be soon, for what ever reason the dawgs have not recruited the O-line and WR position well the past 5 plus yrs.

Sounds like Dee Anderson will be staying put at LSU now. This makes 3 or 4 WR commits for Texas?

Because a super talented high school QB always makes the transition to being a good college QB. Just see Jeremy Johnson.

He isn't gonna play in the NFL.

Sounds like a smart move if he wants to live in Texas in the future. A degree from the 2nd largest Texas university should serve him well for job networking.

Lot's of kids do themselves a disservice by going out of state.

I get your point, but Jeremy Johnson wasn't rated that highly. He was more of a product of hype on campus.

Hmm, I don't remember JJ being that highly rated compared to Eason. And unless he just takes off entire summers and does nothing to get better like JJ did I think Eason will be okay

Jeremy Johnson wasn't one of the highest 2 rated QB's in the country coming out.

UGA really needs Stanley and Chigbu to step up next yr. Jason is still just 14 months removed from his ACL, I think Woerner projects as a flex TE, if UGA lands Nauta they certainly will be loaded at TE. I do like Wims tape but it seems like UGA has had bad luck with juco WR's.

No need to bash another team to justify where he lands. Maybe he has friends and feels at home at AU. Lots of kids love Dameyune Craig. All we can do is sell him on our program and hope that he decides UGA is the best fit for him.

How did I bash Auburn? If they land him I will wish the young man well except when they play the dawgs of course.
