Not discounting that you'll have a blockbuster class, but in no way would I trade a franchise left tackle for 5-star receivers and safeties. Protecting the QB is paramount.

If he commits to Bama we will somehow, someway, find someone can play a little football to put at Left Tackle for us. It's not CamRob or nobody

Why is everyone acting like Sims is some scrub? He's ranked as the #85 prospect in this class. Any other year, seeing as Louisiana is loaded at WR in this class, and LSU would love to have him.
It's just a bad year to be a very good wide out from Louisiana because there are some elite ones at the top.

I think he'll choose Bama, and I don't think the meltdown from LSU fans will be as bad as you think. It's obviously a big loss, but I think most people have seen it coming for a few months now. This announcement coming so close after the Sims commit doesn't help the cause either.
And of course LSU will continue to recruit him. That's their job, they've got to stay on him. I personally believe, in the end, Robinson is at Bama and LSU gets LF and Hootie.

Trey, I like that! What kind of crow is out there for posters to eat when CRob chooses Friday ? Bama or LSu crow..who were the more vocal posters on "knowing" who he will sign with? What kind of bumpage (not the nose candy bumpage)will take place? I don't follow recruiting that much but do like to read fan comments ... some real gems get posted, the rustling of jimmies could be strong on this one.

They like where UA stands. As I said in our recruiting MEGATHREAD (trademarked under Ricky Bobby Inc.), six people have made predictions for Robinson in the last day for the Crystal Ball and it's split 3 to 3. However, 2 of the 3 choosing Bama are national guys, Niebuhr and Adams. I've never heard of the other 4.

I don't feel good about CRob picking LSU but the only thing that strikes me as odd is him choosing Bama this soon: even if he is an early enrollee, he has over four months to hear constant shite about it and he definitely will. Why would he subject himself to that?

Niebuhr is pretty reliable but I'm not so sure about Adams. That dude might have it out for LSU after what happened last week on Geaux247.
I'm just glad Cam is getting all of this out of the way. And to the guy who said he didn't understand why a LA recruit would commit to another school over LSU before the season, you have a somewhat of a point. Cam knows that he'd hear it from LSU fans, not as bad as say LC but still it wouldn't be all hugs and shite.
Right now I think he ends up at Bama.
