Early enrollee at USC enters transfer portal, is that a first? Apparently has a good relationship with Tee.

UT would be a good spot for him, but he’ll have to sit a year as a transfer.

He will be getting a waiver and there’s nothing Aggy can do about it

Why would he get a waiver? He’s enrolled at USC, and he signed. I wish the Vols could get him on the field next year, but it’s just not possible. Transfer rules.

He will point to coaching turnover and the NCAA will grant him a waiver like they’ve done with literally everyone else the past 18 months.

USC has already released him from his LOI, a waiver won’t be an issue

But there wasn’t coaching turnover. Helton is still there. And even if USC grants his release, he’s still a transfer. He is enrolled at USC.

He will claim the staff (Kliff) lied to him and he will be suiting up for the Longhorns this upcoming annum.

Idk if you haven’t been paying attention but since Shea told Ole Miss to frick off, waivers have been handed out left and right. 2 weeks of classes won’t impact it one bit. It’s no different to that Bama LB who transferred from Washington in the spring and was eligible to play this year.

So, just to be clear, you are claiming transfers no longer have to sit a year? Anybody can transfer anywhere they want, and be immediately eligible?

If they petition for a waiver, and have a reason to point to that isn’t just a lack of PT or getting kicked out of school, then yes.

Coaching turnover is absolutely a legitimate reason.

Kahu never enrolled. He was not a transfer.

Patterson is the only high profile case so far.

Fields still hasn't been granted a waiver.

Marchiol was told to frick right off after his racist video and lies about medical conditions surfaces.

Not when the coach in question had been with the school less than a month.

He’s set to move to Austin Sunday & and start class monday. Normally I’d actually agree with Ag, transfers should have restrictions. In Bru’s case, he was convinced to commit to USC last minute by coaches who made him promises, and they aren’t with the program. Not only that, the athletic department is in shambles and USC hasn’t held up their side of the bargain.

Well, if they let McCoy transfer abs be immediately eligible, you’re right, players will be able to transfer wherever they want and be immediately eligible. I think that’s a terrible idea.

Josh Belk went through spring ball with Clemson and played for USC the following fall

Come on man, get over yourself. I would say 95% of all transfers with waivers who were granted instant eligibility had special circumstances. The guys not worried about depth charts or competition.

Do you believe, had the twitter video not surfaced about him laughing about calling his ex-teammates "monkeys", Santino Marchiol would have been granted his waiver to play immediately at Arizona?

He'll be eligible this fall for Texas. The waiver will easily be approved.
