I heard he showed out at the LSU camp but they are full at WR and he is committing to State

He is a big kid and meets a big need in this recruiting class.

LSU isn't full at WR (at least not yet)...

They may have 4 of them committed, but they're waiting to see what Ricky Seals-Jones is going to do, since he just decommitted from Texas. I read all of this on the LSY Recruiting Board, so I am assuming it's all true.

Also, FWIW, BJ Hammond doesn't have an offer from Auburn.

I could give 2 shits if he has an Auburn offer or not.

He is going to be a Mississippi State bulldog.

We'd offer Tony Whitehead and DeAndre Woods before Hammond. And that's just in-state WRs

Yea, that must be why you quoted this in your OP...

I was just setting the record straight.

Why does Bone have Hammond ranked above both of these guys in his Alabama top 40.

Because Bone is a fricking reporter and not the talent evaluator for AU.

I was under the understanding he was over scout for all of The State of Alabama

I think he has an idea of what he is doing.

Bundy, with all due respect, if you go ask the fans in the Alabama Recruiting Thread what they think about Bone, 95% of them will tell you that he hasn't a clue of what goes on.

So I guess Hammond sucks and Auburn never was interested in him because he is committing to State.

Kid is a very good big WR who meets our needs

Not sure why you Auburn fans are trying to put down this kid.

He is a big WR. That is true.

But he is not very good. He's slow and has hands of stone.

But I can bet he can block like a motherfricker. Hopefully that's all you need.

$5 says Greg Knox is his lead recruiter.

I don't think anyone has said this. We aren't interested in him because there's a lot more guys higher on our boards. That goes for Alabama, Auburn, and LSU.

We haven't said anything untrue. If that's putting him down, so be it.

I think Bone gets a bit of a bad wrap. Yes, he's a Bama homer but no moreso than most recruiting reporters for a specific program. He's pretty well connected in the state and a decent evaluator IMO

Look at highlights Woods > Hammond
Auburn has REALLY recruited him for a while, never had an offer. Nobody is putting him down he's just not that good. Awesome player for State though
