Cupp was an early enrollee as a freshman and flashed in the Spring game. He then broke his leg in fall camp, missing the entire 2019 season. Enter Jaylen Wydermeyer.

In 2020, he had another injury to his leg in fall camp that had him miss all of the 2020 season.

Last year he played sparingly behind Wydermeyer.

With Wydermeyer NFL bound, he had been listed as "running with the first unit" on spring practice reports but apparently suffered a hamstring injury and was being passed up by early enrollee Jake Johnson (Max's brother).

Still a talented dude and hope he can A) stay healthy, and B) find a good landing spot.

I wonder if Florida will be all over this. UF was already razor thin at TE this spring and their top two options are dealing with pretty severe injury issues. The depth is so bad right now a DL was practicing at TE the other day lol

Sounds like the best way to remedy this is to take a perpetually injured TE

Kid is a physical beast with rare numbers given his size at 6 ft 7" and 245 lbs.

Problem is, he proven to be a China doll. I had insane hope for this kid coming out of HS.

He apparently has some issues on the blocking front. Be could be a perfect TE for the Big 12 or Pac. Wish he all the luck. Too much TE talent in Aggieland to compete.
