Sure Bama....

If truthful that DeBoer didnt want him...you are in SERIOUS trouble.

We all believe that the Elite 11 winner wasnt wanted in Alabama...sure, sure.

Saban should have taken some time off and then held Spring practice. If he still wanted to be done come July, then he hands the keys to the OC or DC or an analyst brought in for this purpose and Alabama gets to play in 2024 without Saban but with the same players.

The real issue for this team the past few years has been the combination of the players not buying and the lack of development. This spring would not have changed that at all. Yes we lost a few key players but many of the others just were not buying in. Everyone in the country saw the last 2 years were some of the most undisciplined teams under Saban.

We also need a real QB position battle that either forces our current QBs to get better or time to replace.

Other Options
Hire Lane
Hire Steele
Hire TRob
Hire someone with ties to Alabama and Saban
Hire BOB - maybe

Lane- I would like
Steele- Nope and he only returned so he could get his 10 years for state retirement.
TRob-now way he is a candidate for a HC in the SEC
BoB- again no way

When Bear left the school focused on bringing someone in with ties and that did not work out well either. Shula was the last of that and he was replaced by Saban. Also Saban needs to just step away and let the new chapter start.

In the last 17 years I cannot remember one of those where Saban offered all 11 elite QBs. And yes, I believe DeBoer wanted him to stay but believe Sayin and family did not see it as a good fit.
