lol. His first season starting and he is one of our better secondary players, but yea, he's not very good. 3rd on the team in tackles and 2nd in INT's.

Ryan Smith, and Florence. Who else is there?

Add Trent Fisher, Ikeam Means, Therezie who has cross trained. Also, I believe Rose will be moved to Safety if he hasn't already. TJ Davis is also more likely going to play safety.

That is more than enough quality depth at safety.

At the end of his answer, he basically said it wasn't their policy to confirm specifics; but this was on the tail end of a rant about why he disapproves of the 4 year offer justifying the scholarship being a 1 year offer. Not ambiguous in the least.

Of course your twitter feed was blowing up with that kind of spin, it plays into Auburn's new recruiting pitch.

anybody know if Melvin Ray is going on scholarship?

not this year for sure

I thought if he made the grades he needed to this last semester, he could walk on(MLB scholarship) this year. Does he have to sit a year?

So Chizik is against his own recruiting spin that he made?

I was repsonding to beaver's post about Saban refusing to acknowledge whether or not the scholarship offers were multi-year offers. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, Saban is against his no recruiting of committed players, so I guess it could happen.

am I doing this right?

Constantly takes bad angles, got pulled in the bowl game because of it. Yeah he makes tackles, so what? Every team has a leading tackler.

Walk-ons provide our depth, got it. Therenzie is a CB, Lolley said he is the prototypical CB AU wants. And Rose is afraid to hit. Lolley also said that to the papers. For a team that wants to control the message as much as they do, its kind of shocking.

Our own beat writers said similiar things. I was not attacking you. I was just saying, that while he ended his answer by saying they 'won't confirm specifics.' It was on the tail end of a rant defending the 1 year offer. It seems pretty obvious what he was saying.

Thought that was the Murphy that writes for one of the AU sites, ftr, my bad. Again, only trying to provide clarification, because I don't think he dodged the question a tall. His answer was actually kind of aggressive.

Ray has to make the grades for the year and then he can be added as a walk on in August or Sept.

Dude, you really have nothing positive to say. You must lead a terrible and sad life. It's not like we're sunshine pumpers over here. Bet you were the guy at the airport screaming at Chizik.

5 open spots. Cant forget about our 6star FB who has two years of starting experience.

I didn't.
But I did forget Morgan, Clark, & Parkey.

So, actually at 82 scholarship players.

3 open spots for next years class.

I really think the light came on for Gabe in bowl practice. You could see the big difference in that game. Maybe it was just level of competition, IDK. But the same thing seemed to happen to Fairley in the 09 Outback Bowl. But maybe Im reaching

face.

Plus check my Jon Wallace comments.

go back about halfway through this thread where he had praise for the QB we signed from no where...granted in praising him he was bashing Pike but that's getting too picky
