But based on lifestyle alone... Texas.

What lifestyle? I live here an pay through the tooth for it. Student's can't really afford the things that make Austin a nice place to live (for the upper middle class). They're stuck living in small crap old apartments on west campus or in the ghetto shithole that is Riverside. Basically putting up with all the downsides of living in the downtown of a city with none of the upsides. 6th Street isn't what it used to be, either. It's a thugged out dirty dangerous place to be these days. A different clientele goes there now - it's not the Sorostitute scene it once was.

Are we talking about normal kids or trust fund kids? Sure trustifarians will have a great time in college at Texas. But normal kids will get waaaaay more for their money at A&M. I lived in a nice, 15 yo 3 bedroom house behind Sorority Row with only one other guy and paid $500/month. The bar scene is all college kids and not dangerous at all. There aren't any bums.

If tRant were a football recruit, they might have different priorities.

Call em crazy, but some guys just want to play in the SEC, AND live in Texas.

It doesn't seem that complicated...

Ok, lets play your game.

Number of NFL players per school:
Texas - 45
TAMU - 39

Head-to-head recruiting winner by team ranking last 10 years:
Texas 9 - TAMU 1
(this wasn't close and you're lucky I didn't go back further)

Series head-to-head:
Texas leads 76–37–5

Largest win:
Texas, 48-0 (1898)

Longest win streak:
Texas, 10 (1957-1966)

Current win streak:
Texas, 1

Forbes most valuable NCAA football teams:
Texas #1
TAMU #14
LINK

Then of course Austin vs. College Station which is an argument you reallllllly don't want to get into.

Congrats on winning recruiting last year and being ahead a year before NSD this year though! Those Cotton Bowls are really great!

Just notice every single person besides TAMU fans are saying this isn't close.

I'm done though.

We've been higher than them the last two cycles so this is obviously wrong

I don't get why aggy is so upset over this. If you asked this question to anyone in the country the overwhelming majority would say Texas.

Online team rankings only go back to 2002, so that's not much of a threat.

Since the NCAA limited schools to 85 scholarship players per team, the series is 19-18 in favor of A&M.

You'd be more accurate in posting the largest victory by school.

Texas: 48-0 (1898)
A&M: 42-10 (1985)

quote:

Longest win streak:
Texas, 10 (1957-1966)

See above.

Texas 10 (1957-1966)
A&M 6 (1984-1988)

And just to be clear, "anyone in the country" does not include the vast majority of Texan high schoolers who play football.
