Well, a Heisman and better recruiting is a good place to start so far.

Like I've said before, we're taking the proper steps to be an even more major player on the national stage going forward. Texas won't be down forever, but we're in a much better position now to hold our own when they do become stronger than at any previous point in our rivalry with them.

That's the exact reason I posted this, and I think it's closer than ppl think. I mean right now, the past two seasons, the best team and program in Texas is A&M. I just personally love Austin and a lot about UT. I really don't have tooo much bad things to say about A&M though.

Contrary to popular belief, there really is room in TX for two flagship programs, and that's exactly what we have. Now that the dynamic has changed conference wise, folks are able to see what we can do in the state with a level playing field. Going to continue to be heated and fun going forward.

Since all this is a fact, y'all should petition the SEC office and have TAMU removed from the league and daddy tu added instead
Don't think for a second that the SEC wouldn't kick atm out and add Texas tomorrow if the Horns wanted to join the league

Jesus. Don't kid yourself, when people think of the flagship university in Texas there is one and only one school to come to mind.

Not being ignorant here, but The flagship university of the state of Texas, is UT Austin. As far as the state goes.
But nationally, now I'd say there are two, as far as football goes. A&M and UT are the flagship football programs.

And then unicorns will fly.
Don't think for a second that A&M and Mizzou put the kibosh on any opportunity for texas and/or kansas to join before we came on.
Oh, and Texas has lifted their skirts for another conference already and been turned down.
Quit knighting for them.

Does it piss off Aggie fans that if you wouldn't have joined the SEC during Sumlin and Manziels 2 years that you would probably have been in 2 BCS games? Woulda lost those 2, but you woulda at least been there! And you woulda stomped the Flagship for the last 2 years. Oh well, back to 3rd best in the division.

a) you know absolute shite about the state of texas and its universities
b) if you did know anything about the state of texas and its universities, you would know that both texas and a&m are considered the flagship universities of the state

Jesus, did Google suddenly get harder to use?
Not trying to go off on you, you seem like a reasonable guy, but the whole "two flagship" thing isn't just some rivalry talking point.
The state has two flagship universities, A&M and Texas. I'm talking educationally. Like I said, look it up. Yeah you might think of the university in Austin first, but perception is not what I'm arguing here.
Educate yourself.

Lol, if you asked people to name the second most known university in Texas, A&M would probably get about half the votes with the other half going to Baylor/tech/SMU/TCU
