I like it. A nice under the radar TE prospect that will have plenty of time to develop behinds last years ridiculous class.

One of the ones we signed last year will play more of an H-back role and there is a chance Hunter Henry could leave after this year. We use them a lot.

A lot in Berts offense.

TEs are used in multiple ways. As a FB, WR, for blocking, etc. at times last year we had 3 at one time in the formation.

Solid pickup. Kid plays at a great high school program and like someone else said comes from a great family. He has great size so Bert can definitely develop him into a solid TE.

Not going to be a run blocker but has solid hands in traffic. Happy for the kid.

I would see how well he could gain weight maybe he could move to the O line.

Doubt it, he ran a 4.56 at our camp last week

If that's true then his lack of offers is befuddling

He will have a big year with the new offense and coaching this year. Good get and as someone from the area who watches the team a good bit the coaching these kids are receiving is a night and day difference from the previous staff at MC.

ETA: It also doesn't hurt he will have a D1 qb throwing to him. Junior with multiple offers including Miami

It was hand timed but it was still the fastest of the TE's there.

Bielema has one of the best track records in the country with TE's and he offered immediately after he camp so I always take that as a good sign.

The kid said in an interview today that, because of the system he played in, they wanted to see him in person first to see if he could do the things we do in our system since it's so different. Apparently he did well since they offered.
