I see you have 15 commits, how many do y'all plan on signing? Who will they be? Any big break throughs with some guys since the new hire?

They say they are taking the full 25. I don't expect us to really know who they are targeting heavily until after the dead period is over. Most of the staff wasn't even arriving in Fayetteville until today and tomorrow. There is also still one position open on the staff.

Definitely quite a few new names popping up in the last two weeks however. Now the question is can they make up lost ground.

Some guys that I think we have a decent shot on are Reeve Koehler, Dan Skipper, Brandon Vandenburg, Marquion Lane, Jordan Wilkins, Monty Nelson, Daeshon Hall and Antonio Longino.

That's just off the top of my head and I know there is stiff competition for a couple of those guys so it's probably not a great list.

I'm most interested to see what they do about RB since they cut Kaleb Blanchard loose. They're pursuing all the big names..Green, Tenpenny, Collins and Terrell Newby...so they are aiming big but all of those guys would be extremely tough to land this late in the game. They have confirmed OV's from Tenpenny, Collins and Newby however so you never know.

Flaming on the recruiting board is one of the quickest ways to get banned on here.

Yeah definitely not wanting to start a flame thread, just haven't heard much about who y'all are after. I know we're after Skipper as well now that Hill decommitted.

Yeah he is taking visits to Arkansas and OM the last two weeks and then deciding. You guys have the last visit and Freeze is a closer as we all know. I'm just hoping his prior relationship with Pittman at Tennessee helps us win out.

Do you know if you guys are still recruiting Wilkins or has that slowed down since you are probably going to get Kailo?

Weren't yall going after Aleon Calhoun also? I saw he's not committed anywhere right now. Big OL from Texas Juco.

Also, what's your WR board look like, yall just dropped another LA kid, from a pretty talent laden area.

Don't really know to be honest, maybe someone else can answer you.

Wilkins will likely decommit from us sooner or later, and it will be a three team race with yall, Vandy, and Ole Miss

We were going after Calhoun but it sounds like the new staff thinks that they can get some freshmen instead. They dropped two of our juco oline commits almost immediately after being hired.

No clue on WR's yet. We've still got one committed and it sounds like they want one more for sure and possibly two. Last years class was pretty WR heavy so they can be picky.

They just confirmed an OV from Devon Allen. He was high on Arkansas before the season went to shite. Sounds like he added us back to our finalists.

The other three names mentioned recently are Marquion Lane, Stacy Coley and John Ross. Coley is definitely a longshot but he was being recruited by McDonald at Miami. Ross is going to visit because of Joel Thomas our new RB coach.

I figure more names will be added once the coaches get together for the first time this weekend.

ALOT of new interest from big-time players.

WR Devon Allen
WR Stacy Coley
RB Derrick Green
RB Alex Collins
RB Terrell Newby
LB Deon Hollins

Just to name a few. Mike Farrell predicts us to pick up 4-star OL Reeve Koehler during the US Army AA game.

That makes sense. A lot of people questioned the kids offer when he committed to yall, so it makes sense to drop him if the new staff doesn't think he fits.

I just wonder how it plays with coaches in that area. Blanchard and the WR aren't too far from each other. Obviously OOS guys are easier to cut loose with fewer consequences, but that would have been a nice pipeline to establish. LSU's got 4 commits from that general area right now.

Green said today on his rivals chat that Michigan leads with AU and Tennessee on their heels. Also may visit FSU and Miami. No mention of Ark in the 40 minute chat.

Mike Farrell said that he "might" visit Arkansas. He was talking about it at the all star game. I doubt anything comes of it. I think our top priorities will be Wilkins, Newby and a full court press on Collins.

I expect to see even more new names pop up in the next 2 weeks. The staff should be together and hitting the road like crazy.

I think we'll see some NSD flips as well. Basically all of the assistants are coming from major universities where they were well thought of recruiters and respected for their coaching abilities.

I'd be really surprised to see Tenpenny flip but I think we'll be able to snag some decent flips with all the coaching turnovers this year.

I'm waiting for the end of the dead period before I call any expected landings. I'm not even sure the staff knows everyone they'll be targeting.
