I don't agree with that. I think Pollard will be a good teammate wherever he goes.

Was referring more to the drama he and his mom are creating.
The video on the last page was the first time I have seen him, so I'm mostly just spitballing.
I do believe a good teammate would be on campus the summer before his first and according to his mom only year in college. Getting acclimated to campus life and playing ball with his new teammates.

that fact, moreso than any of the indecisiveness, makes me not care if we get him. i'd still like to get him, but frick all that bullshite.

The only negative thing has been his time table. From all indications in what I've read over the past couple years, he's a great kid who has been a good teammate in high school and the AAU circuit. I wish he hadn't dragged this out but I don't think that's a poor reflection on what type person and teammate he is.

According to mom, the NBA requires kids to be out of h.s. for 2 years.
She's def. a "Tammy."

We will be ok with or without him. We have 3 bigs and we really dont play that many bigs anyway.

You must be part of the crowd that thinks his mom is preventing him from committing anywhere because she is angling for a better "offer".

From BOL on Harrell
quote:
Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Academy PF Montrezl Harrell was recently released from his LOI to Virginia Tech as a result of the coaching change there. Harrell's father told 247Sports' Chris Fisher that they have a top five of UA, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, and N.C. State. Harrell is ranked as the no. 78 overall player in the 2012 class by 247Sports.

And we can basically scratch NC State because he'd have to sit a year because of ACC rules.

He would get significant minutes for us as a freshman. Especially if Pollard ends up surfacing in some pro league in Italy sometime this October.

And it wouldn't make sense for him to go to UK. He'd be recruited over after this year and get Vargas type minutes.

Not to you or me, but Kentucky makes sense to every recruit in the country because Cal could sell ice to an Eskimo and rip him off in the process.

Officially back on the market after receiving his release from Virginia Tech Thursday, it hasn't taken long for schools to reach out to Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy 4-star power forward Montrezl Harrell.
Harrell's early list consists of Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville and N.C. State.
"There's been plenty [of schools]," Hargrave coach A.W. Hamilton told 247Sports Friday. "Pittsburgh, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida. There's been a bunch."
Montrezl's father, Sam Harrell, said on Thursday that Harrell's preliminary list consists of Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville and N.C. State.
Hamilton said he doesn't expect Harrell's recruitment to be a long, drawn out process.
"That's pretty much accurate," Hamilton said. "He's not going to have a long list. It's already May 17."
A 6-foot-7, 230-pound forward rated as the No. 78 overall player in the 2012 class and No. 16 power forward, Harrell averaged 26 points, 14 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game for Hargrave last season.
He is the fifth-highest rated undecided prospect left on the board.
"Montrezl is a tremendous player who has a great passion for the game," Hamilton said. "He has grown a lot and had a wonderful season here."
Cincinnati, UConn and LSU have also inquired about Harrell. Should he choose N.C. State, Harrell would have to sit out next season per ACC rules.

I would hope that if there was some way we could land Harrell, it wouldn't scare off Hale. That'd be my one worry.
