LSU has entered the picture. Probably too late, but we did just hire the guy that got us put on severe sanctions back in the 90's

I read this on twitter: Shannon Hale, '13 Bama commit from TN playing for team out of St. Louis, drops 14 pts on 5-10, 2-3 from downtown, and 6 rebs in 19 mins.
I also read that Grant was in Vegas watching guys such as Solomon Poole and Craig Victor play.
Grants arse needs to be wherever the instate guys are. He just wont leave these Fla guys alone SMH.
I hope that there are other kids higher on our board the Poole like Sina. ANyway good to hear about Hale.

Like Levi and Lacey ? I mean he does pretty well in state. 'Bama has what Jimmie Taylor and Mostella in state ? Not a ton of talent.

Those are two pretty good recruits dude. We have to keep the decent instate kids instate because i doubt we are going to go out of state and get any program changers.

Taylor maybe. Mostella is apparently a headcase and he has grade problems.

If we need to bring in 3 or 4 guys and there is only 1 in state who is good enough to warrant an offer, we kind of have to go out of state. Alabama just doesn't produce a ton of basketball talent every year.

Dont know if you have ever saw Mostella play or not but that kid is legit. I personally could care less about the Taylor kid. He will take a couple of years to be ready to play. Ive seen him play as well and he likes to take mid range jump shots. He isnt much of a banger.

He's good, but everything I have read has said that he is another Tony Mitchell. Lots of talent, but a shitty, egotistical attitude. Plus he might not even qualify. I don't even think we are recruiting him.

We aren't Kentucky. Gotta take the best players we can get, even if they are projects. Taylor has talent. He needs to put on some weight, but he could contribute for us as a freshman.

The same way all the freshmen this year contributed.
It's not like he's a mid major quality player.

What like Retin on the Scout team? In basketball majority of the big man arent expected to come in and be great right away because they arent coordinated. They are rated high strickly off of size and potential. If you have ever seen this kid play you would wonder why he is rated so high. He is a good prospect but if we had to choose today ill take the big Sweed over him.

Mostella is a very good scorer no doubt. He also plays no defense and has changed multiple AAU teams because he's a head case. That's bad when AAU coaches make you change teams. He also has about a 5% chance of qualifying which is why Georgia is his favorite team. The big schools will amp up their recruitment of him if it looks like hell get in. We keep tabs on him and recruit him, but we won't go all out until he looks fine to get in.
Taylor would contribute by bringing energy, athleticism, and he can rebound decently. No his scoring is not there. That'll take time to develop. He can play good defense however, and we need big men. We need to be at every one of his games putting on the full press trying to get an early commitment. Then I'd worry about other bigs such as Simmons.

That's pretty much what I was saying. When those are your only two real in state options, looking out of state is a necessity. Unless you want to get into recruiting battles with Southern Miss.

Wathced that kid Taylor play and I just dont see it. If he picks Bama I hope that im wrong. As far as Mostella all sites say that we have offered so I want him. Seen him play and...hold on. He wont even be here next year. He is going to prep school. Nevermind.

A guy I follow on twitter posted this info. I assume it's true:
Former Bama commit Jaren Sina finished the wknd avg 9 ppg and hit a total of 10 threes over his team's four games. Grant watched him today.
Bama commit Shannon Hale avg 16 ppg over his team's four games this weekend, including separate games with 25 pts and 10-12 from the FT line
Bama target Jimmie Taylor had a rough weekend. Recorded one DNP and one game with no points. Scored 9 and 2 in the games he did score in.
Anthony Grant made an appearance in Minnesota at the 1st round of EYBL games this weekend as well as the Adidas VIP tourney in Vegas
