Hopefully Craig Sword gets and wants a release from Miss. St. We need to get that kid. He put up 36 on Miss. at the Miss/Ala all star game and that team had D. Pollard on it. Here is a article on it. LINK

I really don't think we need more guards at this point in time. It doesn't address our depth issues. That's one of the reasons we didn't go hard after him in the first place.

Toatlly agree with you but we cant afford to let talent like him get away. We say we need shooters and he can defintley do that. Might sound bad but we need to do like football and let the best players play and the players who cant cut it leave.

Found this interesting on Charles Hankerson lil brother Cedric Hankerson. Doesnt have high major offers but has ivy league offers. Has good numbers 22pts and 11rebs and a 6/4 combo guard. Ive read that whats holding him back is his lack of athleticism. Im guessing like his brother.

We have one spot open and unless we miss on both Pollard and Walker, I just don't see the point in using it on a guard. Particularly a guard who can only play one position on the court. Grant seems to prefer guys who can play multiple positions and give us more flexibility with the lineup. Sword is a straight 2 guard though. He could maybe get by playing some point, but Lacey is better.

As a matter of fact, we know we only have one scholarship available since Mitchell is still on scholarship now. The speculation comes in from not knowing if Mitchell will return or if anyone will be processed.

I don't really follow the specifics with recruiting anymore, but am curious about Jimmie Taylor. According to Scout he has no offer. Is that true and if so, why no offer?

No, he definitely has an offer from us. We're recruiting him extremely hard.

Hey dude. This was posted on BOL mixed in with some football stuff from someone with a source in athletics. Just passing it along.

-Reguarding basketball recruiting, watch for a in conference transfer. I can't name any names but it is a familiar one with Bama fans and would add an immediate scorer. To touch on this, heard he wouldn't have to sit out for certain reasons.

It would either be hardship related or graduation related. Any clues on where he may be coming from?

Phrasing makes me worry a little about Ralston Turner, but does he qualify as "an immediate scorer"?

Is this something coming down the pipe? Because unless I'm having a brain fart I can't think of any program who is on the verge of being sanctioned. Something might come out of the point shaving situation at Auburn, but that won't be for quite a while.

I doubt any of their scrubs could help with scoring either.

No, Im not saying that's what the reason is. Just if a school gets sanctioned, they can transfer and play right away. The poster never said one way or another. He just said that their were circumstances where he could play right away.

Somebody from in-state would be all I could think of. Turner, Nick Williams (didn't he transfer to Ole Miss?), and I'm running out of ideas. Of course it could be somebody from Auburn. Please don't be somebody from Auburn.

It could be sanctions I guess but that would be a pretty under the radar investigation.

Turner and Williams are the only two who you wouldn't have to stretch "immediate scorer" to the point of absurdity for. Every other guy from Alabama on an SEC roster either sucks or never plays.

Wouldnt know how Williams still has and eligibilty left after going to IU, Marquette, and then Ole Miss. Im guessing its Turner with his shooting ability but dont see that as an upgrade. I would like to get Johnny Obryant from LSU though.

I don't see anything about Williams going to Marquette. Maybe I just missed it, but his record has him committing to Indiana then transferring to Ole Miss. Holloway went to Ole Miss, transferred to USCe and then back to Ole Miss.

This is kind of the definition of wild speculation though If Nick Williams was lurking on here I'm sure he'd think what the frick are these people talking about?

Maybe its Bradley Beal. Boom!
